Operative or Commander? (Luke and Vader)

By SirCormac, in Star Wars: Legion

With the new Operatives of Luke and Vader dropping soon, what are you most excited about trying? Are you going to try the 'old' versions with some of the new command cards? Or are you going all in with the new versions? What are your thoughts?

As for me, I really want to try the old Vader with all of the new command cards and Krennic (to give him a standby token that can't get removed for a free attack/move).

Nice. Ive been running Vader/Krennic with deathtroopers, 2 snipers and 4 DLT stormtroopers. One of my favorite lists with deploy the garrison. I was playing around in the list builder and its about to get a lot better due to Vader's over all point drop and his new cards.

I have playtested operative Vader and he is a beast. Spur is terrifying on him. My favorite so far is still using commander vader while proxying Darkness Descends. Being able to Infiltrate and Scout helps him out a lot.

In both cases, I prefer cheaper with a built-in Ranged attack - Commander Luke and Operative Vader.

I am excited to use Implacable to have Operative Vader get some extra carnage in on round 2. I think Your Master Serves You Well looks very scary when Commander Luke can shoot to Suppress you then make you shoot your allies.

yeah one of the things I liked about operative vader is that I actually had more of choice to make on force powers instead of feeling like I have to take Reflexes, Push, Saber Throw

Jedi Mind Trick is a fairly cheap option and with Master of the Force and 3 Force Slots can get pretty gross on Op!Luke
