Any word on CW release yet?

Apparently even as soon as july 30th, someone in Asmodee had already realised that the Clone Wars Core Set wouldn't be out in Q3... but in October Q4. The communication with the community and customer base really isn't that impressive...

DICED Clone Wars Unboxing

Where did you get that info? Sorry if its in the video, my German isn't exactly up to snuff.

Let’s face it, we get so worked up and annoyed over delayed releases because the stuff they make is so **** good and we just want more!

Gotta have me some more plastic crack!

Is Oct 18 now the date? Seems Asmodee Europe branches have made announcements as such, USA side distributors are listing it as their dates.

Amazon is showing the release as the 25th of October, for what it's worth.

Amazon sellers have to list a release date, so often pick a likely date out of a hat and put that on the listing.

Most likely. As close to truth as any other date they’ve given us anyway.

More reliable than most sources; still unconvinced.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s pushed further back.

It's actually in the video description text - "Oktober" in German translates into roughly into "October" in english 😀 (Sorry couldn't resist 😂)

Anyway seems like we have to wait till oktober 18th now according to German sites or october 24th as some british sites cling on to.... some even say 30th of november 😲 - this mis- and/or noninformation from FFG/Asmodee is beginning to get rather tiresome.

My FLGS was showing me their distributors site and they have it listed as Oct 18.

A few more players cancelled their orders at my LGS this past weekend. That brings the total up to 17 people now. So disappointing.

I'm about to do the same - still hoping for a miracle Force Friday release though, but if it's not out on friday - then it's sadly becoming irrelevant (getting kids exited for this kind of miniature game was a feat in its own right - keeping them interested delay after delay and still no official FFG word on release, now that is nigh impossible. This isn't the 80's anymore - now the kids have something called online multiplayer video games ... )

They have not addressed my concerns. All the issues that drove me away persist.

It seems like you haven't interacted with GW in the past few years. I've been playing Underworlds going on three years now, and across the board players praise GW for the customer service, interaction with the player community, and listening to concerns and then reacting to them.

My LGS closed two weeks ago....had CW been in, I'd have been on board for 2 copies. Now I'm buying 0, and not getting into the game, ever. Maybe not directly connected to the delay, but it gave me enough time to come off the fence and added straws to the camel's back that prompted me away from the line entirely.

question (didn't think another Clone war thread was needed). 3 core sets and card pack vs 2 core and expansions. my FFG google-fu is failing as i'm sure info is out there just not finding it.

3 core sets + 1 card pack - seems like i get full corp and 3 of each support, plenty of dice and most cards (looks like smoke grenades not in card pack???)

2 core + expansions - gain smoke grenades, but with no alternative poses, feels like a 25$ addition cost while losing 3rd support for both factions, however i did hear rumor that the Barc speeder has clone trooper 2 helmets in expansion, does it have it in the core set too or not?

The BARC does indeed come with Phase 2 helmets. That is one of the reasons I'm only doing 1 core set and filling out with expansions over time. I already have complete Rebels and Imperials to play. I can wait to bulk up my Republic force over time as I'm now in a place to where I really do not use 4 starter Corps units from either faction when I'm building so I'm pretty sure the same will eventually be the case for Republic as well.

I'm sorry to hear that. My LGS closed down 8 years ago, but since I live in Chicago, there are gaming stores everywhere (just 10-15 minute longer drive).

I am thinking Force Friday is when they will 'hopefully' put the release date in stone, however if we learned anything from recent events...a release date doesn't matter much.

That's a bit ironic, if you pay attention to video game promo hype windows and regular release schedule delays ffg/asmodee are really pretty good........

People have been a bit ridiculous with this talk of cancelling because of the delayed release, I hate that its delayed but that has not caused me to cancel nor has it when its come to video games either

I bought the recent edition and indices for all my armies plus a codex for one.

I look at the GW aisles of shops weekly. They largely don’t entice me.

I’ve dabbled a bit with Underworlds this summer-present. My first foray into the often maligned GW.

I actually really like it. The sculpts are incredible (well most of them, still not a fan of the excessive skull use on some of the war bands) and the best part is it’s playable in a lunch hour.

Not a fan of “all the things” syndrome from the card distribution mechanism, but I’m cautiously optimistic the new season of content will help fix that as there’s more emphasis on faction-specific goodies.

I guess I broke down because of the sticker shock of phase 2 clones combined with the fact my gaming buddy that was enabling my purchase by going separatists wanted the extra B1s... add the value to dollar ratio and I couldn’t say no.

Now I’m going to try to avoid helmets that weren’t seen with the phase 1s in the tv series and keep it thematic, even if I don’t get the super premium clones.

GW is amazing and the level of quality in models is something FF should aspire to. Of course, I also like that style. Much of the scenery they make could be used in this game as a themed set of different planets.

Igot out of GW games because I simply cant afford it any more and lack of players. Speaking well of them in no way diminishes FF. ALL the big companies have to start somewhere and FF is well on the path. However, events like this can cause serious setbacks for them in the big picture.....

If I wanted to I could have funded my entire legion collection by cancelling my star citizen pledges...... which have been there since before there was ever a "playable" product.

If you already own armies, what's not to afford?

Although I don't think this much praised Underworlds will draw me in: initial web perusal indicates my miniatures collection will be useless in it.

I still don't understand cancelling an order, on a thing I actually want, over a short delay. By short I mean anything less than 6 months.
