I've been thinking about a weapon that shoots a steady arc of fire. By placing wound tokens, which represents ammunition, on this supposed new upgrade card, you can determine the strength of the attack. For each wound token placed (up to a specified limit) an attack die of a certain color is added to the attack. To remove some of these wound tokens, you perform the recover action. If a trooper unit uses this weapon, it gains Sidearm: Ranged .
Another idea is a weapon kind of like the one the HH-12 Stormtroopers carry. This weapon can double its attach dice if the unit aims.
