By Tirion, in Star Wars: Legion

they look great question though did they not show Luke 2 pip

No they didnt they wanted to keep it a secret until the article comes out

There is the missing 2 pip of Luke from the new OP article:

Vader’s 2 pip wins the ‘most metal command name’

Now we have Luke’a two pip.

I think "fear and dead men" was a must for a command card. It would have been great negligence to skip that line.

I further appreciate that the art for the card seems to match with that comic sequence.

I think it's the same piece of art from the Fear and Dead Men card for Destiny.

There's a handful of Destiny cards, I believe all from the Across the Galaxy set, based on the Vader Down storyline from the comics, and all with art heavily influenced by the comics. I know Deadly Advance is another one, but I'm sure there are more I'm not remembering.

The Fear and Dead Men moment from Vader Down is quite possibly the single best scene from Marvel's various Star Wars comics (which are generally quite good).

Them not putting fear and dead men as a command card would have been like Ewan McGregor walking on stage to announce he's playing Obi-Wan again and not saying 'Hello there'... oh wait.

I actually came back from a year of not playing Destiny to win a mat with that art. The only thing that I miss in playing lcgs, card games vs legion is having awesome prizes like game mats.

I wouldn't mind some command card sleeves or deckboxes. Maybe some token bags. I'm really surprised they haven't come up with some more interesting prize items yet. I get why command tokens are cool too, but those seem to be held for top places in certain events (I only get 1 RPQ and I probably can't do that well :( )

Maybe non-faction specific tokens? Even if it's just a nice "Star Wars legion" on the back, could be pretty cool.

If you use Luke’s 1 pip on a Suppressed enemy trooper, can you use any Aim or Surge tokens it may have?

Spending those tokens are innately part of an attack action, so in my opinion, yes.

That makes it better than Luke’s original 1 pip. Not only do you get the extra attack, but denying an Aim too... 😈

A non-leader, non-Operative trooper unit most likely won’t have as powerful of an attack as Luke, especially if you’ve shot at them to make them suppressed (but Jedi Mind Trick works!).

Of course, the real solution is... use both!

I happen to make token bags I sell on my Etsy shop (Improvised Orders TTS). Folks have said the prize support bags are not great, so I made my own. Plus I was able to get creative with them :)
