I’m looking for a hard, hard counter and they just seem to live forever.
Is there anything that stomps all over these Jendon/3 Inquisitor lists?
4 health ships don't like auto damage and/or too many shots for their tokens to last through. If their strategy is to take advantage of their maneuverability through the obstacles, maybe pack some seismic charges and/or prox mines. Getting rid of or not allowing the use of defensive tokens are also good via Midnight, Palob, 4LOM crew or Vader crew.
Edited by RStanThey can be blocked and they do take damage from focus fire. Also, if you want to tech specifically against them, take Jedi with Spare Parts. They'll likely never get off their ordnance, which means they'll likely never do much damage.
Superior play!

Dice rolling is a skill, too.
Four nattie crits should do the trick.

Kagi is decent tech, too, that also more generally useful against anything that relies on locks (Vader, ordnance, drks, etc.).
Wait a sec, people out there are having success with inquisitors? I’ve been waiting for over a year for TAPs to become competitive enough for me to get some use out of mine. What are these lists? I NEED TO KNOW!!!

The core seems to be:
- Colonel Jendon
- 2x Inquisitor with Concussion Missiles and Fire Control System.
- Some 4th ship
Adding The Grand Inquisitor as an ace with it, or Soontir, or something else as the 4th ship works. Director Krennic is a cool toy on Jendon, since that'll let an ace like Soontir plink off shields while saving Focus for defense, as well as let Jendon grab a lock at range too.
Edited by theBitterFigKrennic is also a counter to inquisitors, taking their shields even though they are defensive stacked.
Old teroch and palob are very much their hard counters. As is vader crew, getting rid of that evade token. 1 force and 3 green dice wont save you.

I can't wait for a targeting computer on my Jendon. Let me set up the Krennic from long distance.

Doesn’t Krennic add lock?

Oh right...

This is shockingly unreliable when you’re up against 3 green dice and every ship has at least 2 force even if you block it.
It reminds me of trying to kill a Fel in 1.0 palp aces. But there’s 3 of them and they have missiles.

I wish I did not know.

It's unfortunately the only real answer
I've run a lot of SuperInqs and NOTHING stomps all over them.... Apart from all the superior plays I get regularly stomped by.
Honestly though, there are many things that just take them apart. There are an awful lot of ways to overwhelm green dice. I walked into a R1 Trick Shot from Blackout yesterday, I had focus, evade, gas cloud.... meaningless in 5 dice vs 2.
I was convinced he was going for the other one
The Inqs are very good indeed, but it's notable that a pure Inq list has not yet popped up as a thing. 4xSNR is absolutely a thing that people have tried, but for whatever reason, it doesnt seem to have progressed.
What they really are, is a great and very independently capable ingredient, at a great price point. The barrier for wingmates turned a corner.
Empire have a number of key pieces that can now slot in with them, while keeping a key upgrade. The usual suspects doing the heavy lifting, basically. Vader, Soontir, Jendon + missiles..... and er, GGI ofc. Because we all saw that coming, right?
So the Inqs are filler really. The tanky kind, rather than the numerous kind. Exploding them is pretty much a trap. Filler ships need to be destroyed really fast, or neutered. Flying then, dealing with tanky filler, kill box, arc dodge, range control, bump etc. Usual things, expertly applied. Somehow.
The thing that gives them a little extra is their potential time on target and ability to run. So think fast!
And be lucky. That's the most important bit.

Wedge and 4 die modified attacks, they do not like. You need to concentrate fire, as well. Don't spread your arcs to get a shot on everyone, take all shots on one ship.
Funny really, been playing Seventh Sister, two Inquisitors and Jendon since January, and the usual response have been along the lines of "you're playing THAT?" and "Inquisitors are bad, Concs are bad, can't win with that...wait, I lost? How?" Guess all it takes is a major event win before everyone's opinion takes a complete 180, and the ship goes from useless to overpowered.
Anyway, block or hop over. Nien Nunb has been the bane of my existense, Rexler is a problem, Guri dances around me and Sentinels block me. Resistance A-Wings are pretty good too. You can't beat v1s at knife fighting, so fly past them and turn around. They do NOT want to kturn or troll if they can help it.

He'll like Targeting Comp though.

There has been a disturbance in the Force.
I feel a strong need to play some 2.0 Imperials next time I X-Wing.
Oh, another suggestion: Spare Parts Canister just kills Jendon lists.
One does not simply kill a three-Inquisitor & Jendon list.
Especially if they're Supernatural Inquisitors packing Concs.
From my experience, the real danger such a list faces is strong Ace play. I found the popular regen Anakin build to be particularly dangerous.
