Alright, this one's messy.

I'm curious about the interaction between poe and debris gambit and the final difficulty of the action

I'm wondering if you can:

1.focus with poe

2.use his ability to perform a *white* evade because he's next to asteroids

3.his ability makes it red but card makes it white

4poe gets focus evade for no stress

The problems are:

1. can poe even use his ability for the evade because it says "a WHITE action" and the action on the card is red?

2. However,

the card says that it becomes white next to asteroids. so can poe even do the evade with his ability? Im not sure when the evade becomes white, because it says "WHILE you perform an action", is that enough for poe to do it?

2 another disagreement between cards is over the final difficulty... poe makes it red but debris gambit makes it white, which one wins??

I really want to know if this works, because if it does I'm taking this to my next tournament.

This doesn't work. Poe cannot activate the red evade action, because it's red; it only becomes white while doing it, so DG turns it white later than it has to be white to be started at all.

Oh boy.

Thanks, despite all my searching (5 mins) i couldn't find a thread about it. this has cleared up the question completely.

As both thespaceinvader and Ryfterek mention, Poe cannot perform the Evade given by Debris Gambit as his second action given by his ability.

However just to be clear for future reference: If there is an obstacle at range 0-1, Poe can use Debris Gambit first , performing an evade action but gaining no stress (as the red evade is treated as white). Then Poe can use his pilot ability to spend a charge to perform a focus action and gain a stress (as the white focus is treated as red). Poe ends up with an evade, a focus and a stress.
