No Armada at DragonCon?

I see a couple of X-Wing games, but have yet to spy armada (or legion) all weekend. Not that I’m playing, either...

DragonCon isn't much of a gaming convention. X-wing is probably pushing through by virtue of how many players it has. I recommend going out to Giga-Bites Cafe in Marietta tomorrow. @jamie nasmyth should be able to let you know if anyone else is coming out. I know the store will be open.

There’s some, though. A whole area is miniature painting and miniatures gaming.

I didn't say there was no gaming. It's tens of thousands of nerds in one place. There will be painting, and where there is painting there is usually some gaming. However, DragonCon does not typically organize or host tournaments for any game system that doesn't have extreme weight of numbers on its side. GenCon is a gaming industry convention, and events like Adepticon, NOVA, and LVO are dedicated gaming conventions, which is why you see play there.
