Master Jedi Arthur Curry

By swordfishson, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

So I had the idea to do an Aquaman based for sensitive character, which done with the character creation for so he's done but what I'm not sure totally how to do is his trident. I would like it to be a lightsaber, but currently I'm struggling to figure out how to make it work. The onlything I have for sure is that it would be a pike Saber but modified.

As always any and all ideas are welcome; thank you in advance and may the force be with you!!

Just do a pike saber. Maybe give it a cross guard

Yeah that's the only attachment I thought would really work 💁🏼‍♂️

But I definitely like hearing other people's ideas so more are still welcome 😁

You can always go with it has the stats of a regular light saber, but it looks like what you want. That way you don't have to try and balance it but you can make the player happy.

Trying to think outside the box here. Aquaman doesn't do a lot of 'lightsaber reflect' type stuff so lets consider what else might work.

How about either the Electrostaff from the core book or the Morgukai Cortosis Staff from Lords of Nal Hutta? Polearm/staff/trident shaped, lightsaber can't cut in half, pretty good weapons...might be worth considering.

That's mostly because most Marvel villains don't bother with guns, or ranged weapons in general. However, Star Wars mook enemies use them all the time. So that's hardly something to hold against Aquaman given the setting differences.

And, as I recall, in one of the various Star Wars cartoons (I think the one by the Samurai Jack guy), they did an entire episode following that aquatic race Jedi, and the entire episode was him under water, fighting a droid army that did indeed shoot stuff, and he was reflecting blasters a lot. I mean, that Jedi (the green skinned, tentacled guy) was pretty much Jedi Aquaman. Just use him as a template.

I just want to point out that Aquaman's most famous enemy is a pirate who shoots lasers from his helmet, and that he uses his trident more to control the ocean in various kinds of way and as a ranged weapon that fires energy bolts of some kind than as a melee type weapon.

I think that the best, most accurate way to do a Force-sensitive Aquaman is to not go for the obvious, and just don't give him a laser sword variant.
