Rebel- Suggestions on list

By DiegoLP, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi, I'm new to X-Wing but already fell in love with the game.

I bought my Core set last Wednesday and decided to buy all the Rebel ships that were available at the store, 2x Y-Wing and the Millennium Falcon.

Could you suggest me a decent list to make with those ships?

Also, the shop is restocking in rebel ships with wave 5, what ships would you recommend me to buy? I'd like to play competitively.

Cheers!

hi, xx yy is a pretty decent list

you can take just a couple of basic gold squadron pilots and dorsal turrets/ion cannons and veteran gunna to make them a pretty good shooting platform,

wedge and luke are always a good pair, luke is pretty tanky, wedge doesnt really need a lot of upgrades to be good, crack shot is cheap and maybe r4 for some more blue,

luke has soooo many possibilities luke with instintice aim and proton torps works well,

the falcon i havent used too much yet..2 ship builds seem to be a bit ina bad spot athe moment..still working on my han list..

Welcome!

Lando is fantastic withe Nien crew. Gives him lots of blues, so he can give friendlies (or himself) more actions!

Lando Calrissian (80)
Nien Nunb (5)

Luke Skywalker (62)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Norra Wexley (41)
Crack Shot (1)
Dorsal Turret (3)
Veteran Turret Gunner (8)
Total: 200

Just circle lando around outside, and give Luke and Norra actions. Norra has a double tap with primary and dorsel so give her focus or lock with lando when she is in close.. She LOVES range 1, so rush her in and get two 3 dice attacks with her. Luke is double modded with his force and hits hard.

I would suggest getting Saws Renegade expansion (1st edition, but contains 2nd edition parts). The U-wing is a fantastic support piece for the rebels. Bwings just do it all and every single one from generics to Braylen is playable. Braylen is champ cause you can focus and fail the barrel-roll to stress yourself for rerolls. He hits like a beast.

Wedge Antilles (55)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Cassian Andor (51)
Pivot Wing (0)

Braylen Stramm (51)

“Dutch” Vander (40)
Dorsal Turret (3)
Total: 200

This archetype is called Rebel Beef. Dutch provides locks to Wedge and Cassian. Cassian removes stress from Braylen so his dial is open every round. Lots of ships, lots of hull, and abilities are pretty simple for newer players.

Welcome to the game, friend!

I like what Wurms is saying, especially regarding buying Saw's Renegades next! That's a great expansion.

With what you have rn, I would suggest this list:

Luke

Lando with Nien

Dutch with ICT

And then you can flavour with 8 points of something that piques your curiosity. Dutch can move and focus. Lando can move, give a lock to Dutch, who then gives a lock to Lando, who can then also take a focus. Luke can lock and has the force. Simple, efficient synergies and piloting to help you with the most basic elements of the game without being useless

Finally my store got new ships and I bought an extra X-wing since core doesn't include wedge, the Ghost and a B-Wing, not I just need to find a Saw's Renegades ...

Awesome combo, i didn't think about this setup.

I've been flying this list for the past month: Rebel List

Now that i've gotten a new x-wing, b-wing and the Ghost i'll try some new ones, still looking for a saws renegades tho.

Thanks for the help!

Looks like you can now fly one of the most powerful rebel lists.

Wedge Antilles (55)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

AP-5 (32)

Luke Skywalker (62)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Braylen Stramm (51)
Total: 200

Swap AP-5 for Jake in the Awing, and that is the list I went undefeated with prior to points update in June. AP-5 coordinates focus to Wedge (who takes lock for action), then Braylen (with focus and reroll ability), and Luke (with force and lock action), are all fully modded shooters. There isnt much in the game that can handle that firepower.

Thanks for the list! I just tested it in Fly Casual and the damage output is insane.

Do you have any more tips on how to fly them?

If playing versus jousty lists, flank with wedge while Jake (now AP-5) trails behind him to give him double mods. Luke and braylen work the middle. If people go for wedge (which most do), that makes braylens day sooooo much easier cuz he never has to turn around, just 1 blues for days. Playing against aces that can 1v1 Wedge, then keep them all together in loose formation.

I will send you to my battle report if you want specifics
