Everything about huge ships is about to be so much better than 1.0. Color me impressed and happy.
FFG Live X-Wing Huge Ship Showcase was Sept 5th, link to the YouTube recording in the first post.

Yeah, the example given was one of the crits has the Precision effect if you were in the Huge Ship's bullseye, then you may draw a card that kills the bridge crew.
Ballsy, but good luck trying that against a Raider-class which gets bonus dice against targets in its bulleye.

Sounds like a job for Arvil.
(Though the Raider moving at I8 could be an issue)

Exactly. It's a really cool interaction.
I'm so so so stoked for this. My Raider and Gozanti are burning a hole in my pocket right now, and there's a future CR-90 with my name on it!

Can you imagine if Arvel dove right in colliding into range 0 of the Raider's bullseye, and the Raider player is like, "WHY DID I DIAL IN THE STATIONARY MANEUVER?! ðŸ˜"

Is that a burning Raider in your pocket or are you just happy about Epic 2.0?

or Quickdraw

Could not watch the Stream yet. Sounds really interesting.
But my C-Roc, Gr75 *) and Gozanti look longingly from their dusty packages! And got today - finally decided to go for it - the last Cr90 my Flgs had rotting on the shelves for ages. Got it for less than half, I am excitedly waiting for the conversion kit to drop!
I actually have a 2nd used Transport lying around disassembled, now I have an incentive to finish that overdue project.

Lucky you! I can't find one for under $150

Probably easier to pull off would be coordinating him a focus or evade that he could boost off of.
Have they made any comment about the docking points on the Gozanti? Have they been redesigned to hold other ships and not just TIE/ln?

They had bombers docked in it... so yes?

The "Docking Clamps" ship ability just specifies small ships, no restriction on which small ships or having all of the same type
I didn't get to see the whole stream but here are a few other screen grabs
Gozanti and CR-90 dials:

damage deck spread:

Atmospheric Entry scenario rules:

note: the scenario was designed for 300 vs 300 but the builds they were using were 400 vs 400
Surprised no one has mentioned:
MISSION COMPLETION CAN HAPPEN REGARDLESS OF SHIPS DESTROYED!!
Winning without Total List Kill has come to X-Wing!!
And I think I need a yellow engine glow CR-90, dangit.

There were several missions that didn't require total destruction of the enemy list to win

As well, I think most people just set a time limit to end an epic game and counted points if they were not playing a specific mission.

Ooops.
Kinda forgot those ever existed. ![]()
I wonder how many of those received a 2.0 treatment to create the new boxed set.

I hope most of them! (Some were just garbage and favored one side over another).
I really hope we get a branching campaign!

Not in this box, just separate scenarios. Maybe in a future box if this is popular.
Pretty sure the bombers were just sitting on the Gozanti base on their own bases and pegs.
I finally watched the whole video last night. Another awesome stream. We got to understand better how wings and huge ships work, but also learn about the thought process and ideas of the developers around the expansion. Again they come up as deeply caring that their game is as good and fun as possible.

Well, in a game where shifting pieces is a major issue, that's what I always do.
Regardless of the actual load, all my Gozanti are permanently carrying 4 TIE/lns I have way too many of.
It just dawned on me that the atmospheric entry scenario could be used to represent the Battle of Scarif, the part of the starfighters trying to reach the gate before it closes... might need some tweaks.
I have one comment on the wings.
According to what they said (didn't actually show it) but that is what I understood.
The leader moves (including roll/boost) and the rest simply follows and are placed in formation (barring bumps).
But then each ship in the wing also takes its own action. So basically barrel roll/boost gives double actions to wingmates. That doesn't seem right.
