Jamming fields - can a squadron be affected by two fields at once?

By ASpaceTriangle, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hello!

I'm designing a fleet and am wondering if a squadron can be affected by two jamming fields at the same time (ie, while under the influence of a field hosted on two different Gozantis)? I'm planning to try a fleet that ignores enemy squadrons, using bombers and phantoms to push damage to ships while having damaged reduced by jamming fields, and dengar giving out counter.

Thanks!

OK I've answered my own question: an attack is treated as obstructed, hence it doesn't matter how many fields affect a squadron - it can only obstructed once.

You cannot be double obstructed. So I wouldn't recommend bringing two Jamming Fields.

EDIT: For some reason I was able to see the original post and not your reply.

Correct. Also take into account that the obstruction works also for counter-attacks, so even if your bombers and phantoms are at distance 1-2 of Dengar, if they are inside the jamming field they cannot counter because that single counter die will be obstructed.

Thanks for your replies! It turns out that for such a cheap card, Jamming Fields have quite a battlefield impact! I've run them twice now and will be writing up the battle reports. The first one is done .

You do realize that jamming field affects your own squadrons as well, so if they're in the field your attacks would also be obstructed...

I wish Jamming Barrier also applied to ship flak and counter abilities, basically anything that attacks a squadron, be it from a ship or another squadron. That would make it much more useful.

I found them to be very useful, but you need to know how to use them - my write up is here . They only cost 2 points so they are not going to be some super upgrade.
