The 2e one has blue one banks.
Ahhhh, got 1e and 2e dials mixed up.
So blue one banks ... good job, Rebel engineers, good job!

Not saying they're necessarily super strong or competitive, just really creative and very fun sounding.
Broadside is fantastic. I can't believe it's taken this long to get a pilot that gets bonuses for having his turret in an arc that isn't the front, it seems like such an obvious niche in hindsight.
Matchstick is going to be really solid. Any red token means it works when he's locked. And you can lock friendly ships by default in second edition...
Get a buddy with R3 astromech, put one lock on Matchstick first round and you're laughing.
That dial is all kinds of bad, though. Is the most maneuvers that would be affected by R4 we've seen on a dial? If so, it's going to make that astro slot really competitive. A good thing, IMO.
Only thing I'm not so taken with is Chop. Is anyone ever going to spend that second charge? Seems like way too much of a penalty for an ability that's really not that great (double stressing for an evade? Really?)
IDK the back side of Chopper is amazing, it's essentialy a free Jam action every round, as long as you stay engaged.

Well, that's the real trick, isn't it?
Your opponent will know what's coming. They'll know that all they have to do to give one of your ships a free jam is not be in range 2 of Chop next turn. And that Y-Wing's dial really isn't great for chasing.

It gives you the ability to ram the enemy and deposit a jam on their face. Seems pretty ok. Or it backfires and you get jammed...it's hilarious, we'll see if anyone finds something broken with it competitively.
Edited by dsul413So apart from c3po arcs, the Y will hopefully be the key to utilizing all the wonky support we just can't justify atm
So 7th fleet gunner and palp, atop the new Soka
Fun times inbound

Absolutely! Put C1-10P on Mace or Obi-Wan, use the charges right away, and then spend the rest of the game at close quarters giving out jam tokens, and still have force for mods. Bonus: Fine Tuned Controls can trigger before C1-10P's jam.

.... Huh.
I hadn't thought of that. Put it on a ship that doesn't care about focus tokens or locks anyway, and you're laughing.
I still feel like it's the sort of card that will be really fun to play with a couple of times, until you get tired of all the times it doesn't work out and just go back to something more consistent, like R2.

I’m already laughing at it all. It’s going to be hilarious in a janky match up. I agree taking more consistent things for tournaments is the right answer, but I spend most of my time on silly squadron (or was that dinner squadron? Wraiths seem to get it).
Matchstick also seems plenty happy to take the jam token. Free mods for him
Edit: seriously, Matchstick with VTG and Chop, you can get two rerolls on two separate attacks every turn if you are stressed. And with a Y wing that is easy to accomplish. Just 2 hard circle around the enemy formation shooting out the side.

This went way over my head originally. Thanks for stating what was probably obvious to everyone else.
Now I wonder how long the FFG folks have wanted to give a bomber this name.
No one has also mentioned that the front side of Chopper only needs you to execute a maneuver not FULLY execute. Yay Jedi care even less about being blocked 😔

He does seem a good crew for ARCs. Though I'm not sure you're going to want to calculate over focus. But between that, Chop, and Dedicated you have some options for improving your defense. These Y-wings seem like they'd like this guy who has some synergy with C-3PO:
Oddball with R4-P44 and C-3PO looks like fun. Ric, Obi-Wan, Plo Koon, and 3 versions of OddBall at I5. Why is OddBall the only I5 clone? An ARC, Y-wing, and Torrent all at I5 get broken in testing or something? Is it a flavor thing? If you want high initiative you need to take Jed sort of deal?

You certainly don't want your berries going off to soon.

Double calc is very similar for attack, and better for defence on a 1 ago ship. 3po is gonna go very well on sinker.
gonna say this now: Matchstick + Friendly Target Locks = run away from Matchstick cause consistent hits are coming your way
Alright how many of these do I buy.

If Matchstick with a turret is 46 pts or less...seems good here: Sinker Swarm
None of those V19s need Locks anyway.

I, uh, I knew that and definitely hadn’t forgotten since I haven’t played in two months due to moving. And because my acrylic tokens are 1st ed for jam. Yup. Totally didn’t forget that.

That would be almost an overkill. Given good positioning, he might be able to get 5 single die rerolls.

what if you were to turn 1 target lock Matchstick with all your ships also if he can bolt VTG and Dorsal it becomes even more scary

Of course it is scary! Might just about be worth replacing 2 V19s with double-tap Matchstick and still fit one another craft.

Obviously it depends on where the cost is and if you do lots and lots for Epic sorts of things. At about 35 each for the generics you can get five in a list. I don't think any of them will come in at 30 or less even the Red Squadron Bombers. The equivalent Rebel Gray Squadron Bomber is 31.
