Someone asked if it was possible. It is. But you should keep the left arm with the original intended tauntaun cause of the reins.

Bear in mind that the rider's Hothic legs are molded directly to the tauntaun.

I think only one of my tauntaun riders used the original "intended" torso, all the others have been converted. You will have to play with the reins a bit though. I had to create reins for 2 of them.
