Enjoy fake rules.

As I pointed out above, some of the old rules are showing up in canon work. The EU rules as a whole are certainly not defacto truth, but things like gravity wells of planets inhibiting hyperspace are showing back up.

"Breaking orbit and grabbing for deep vaccuum...The freighter was too deep in Batuu's gravity well to make the jump to lightspeed, but that particular window was rapidly closing."

I'm all for whatever explanation works, and don't particularly care, but there is some room for discussion IF we care about in-universe rules. I can think of a science fantasy explanation for basically anything, so I hit the I believe button and move on.

So what you're saying is that the fires going on now are totally okay and not worth ANY concern?

They are not OK, but if you think your concern will change anything, go ahead.

You laughed. You thought I was silly for saying the Y-Wings in the trailer weren't these.

Who's laughing now?

"But Lackwit, those are The Mandalorian toys"

Yes, yes they are, and there's an RZ-2 and T-70 in there too. Y'think I'm still wrong..?

The Y-Wing... bothers me. I mean, it bugs me for a few reasons. It's a new(ish) design, so... why make it without armor plating... unless they did and they stripped it off for the same reasons as the BTL-A4... which again... why would they do that?! The smaller main engines and insanely long struts just look... wrong. I am digging the rest of it and the return of the bubble gunner, though. I dunno, maybe this'll grow on me.

Hopefully we get a clearer shot of the B-Wing MK II soon. From what little has been shown, I like it. Sleeker than the original and sharper lines like that of the RZ-2 and T-70.

I'm reserving judgement on this Y-wing. There's some distortion in the picture from shooting the subject so closely that might make the nacelles look longer than they might be.

It may be an even older model of Y-wing that was mothballed in some hangar or warehouse for 60ish years. The Resistance is super desperate to get a hold of any and all equipment that can get off the ground at this point.

We'll see in December.
