My favorite comments!
I didn't buy an SSD but my friend did, and his wife sent me a photo of him happily holding up the SSD in its box. (He plays Imperials, she plays Rebels)
Edited by Bertie WoosterI wasn't going to buy it (yet), and mentioned that to the 8 or so guys that I've taught to play. We don't have a game store that supports Armada, so we typically play in the basement using primarily my collection every few months or so. Several of them are guys that I've coached or know from church connections and spend time studying and 'talking about life and faith' together.
They informed me that they wanted to play an 'end of summer' set of games one night and we worked out a time. They made it clear that they didn't want to play campaign or task force format this time though. When we got together, they brought in the box before we got going and informed me that they went together to get one and it needs to live at my house and I needed to run it the first game.
I'm strangely blessed. Now the only thing I know the Executor fears is 4-6 year olds. The Ewok effect is real.

This brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "coming out of the closet" ![]()
I don't own an SSD, but will say that my wife only gently mocks my Armada habit. But I have two teenage kids, and they are savage.
Brought mine home today. Wife gave it more than a couple of glances before asking whether I got it for under 60 (I had a gift card for 50). No honey, I did not.
I don't think I'll have to discuss the issue more than that, though, due to the fact that I'm buying her a brand new car tomorrow.

This psychologically and emotionally hurt me.

As Rodney Dangerfield said, "Can't get no respect."
