I can't speak for the EotE beginner game, but in the AoR beginner game it also includes 2 semi-custom minion groups: Launch pad guards (basically Navy Troopers, just statted slightly differently) and Scout Troopers with slightly different profiles.

As far as their stats go, I would just suggest using Navy Troopers from the EotE CRB and Scout Troopers from the AoR CRB as the differences are negligible.
