The Clone Wars Season 7

I wouldn’t go that far. The ending revelation was telegraphed far too much and CF 99 are very tropey (is that a word?). I’d say it was a solid exposition building block episode.

That’s all fine and good, after all, A New Hope takes what we would call tropes to exhalted levels.

The official scripted ending has been online for many years so there was no spoilered surprise in the wings.

In fact the only scene added was the one with Rex remembering the fallen clones.

After watching the Clone Wars Season 7 premiere, FFG should get started on the Galactic Republic Bad Batch special forces expansion pack immediately .

You can keep your ARC Troopers, no thank you. I want these badass SOBs in my Republic Army!

How would they work in the game, each one has a different weapon so they can't really be a standard unit card like we've seen...do you just get tracker and 3 heavy weapons slots?

The ARC Troopers wield DC-15A blaster rifles, DC-15S blaster carbines, DC-17 blaster pistols, and the Sniper HW has a DC-15x sniper rifle. I think that's more weapons than the Bad Batch because Hunter and Tech wield blaster pistols, Wrecker wields the DC-17m assault rifle, and Crosshair wields the DC-15x sniper rifle. That's only 3 weapons. Or 4 if you count Hunter and Wrecker's combat knives.

Boba Fett has 3 standard weapons: Boot Spikes (melee), Wrist Rocket (range 1-2), and EE-3 Carbine (range 1-3). The Bad Batch's 3 weapons could be: Combat Knife (melee), DC-17 blaster pistols (range 1-2), and DC-17m assault rifle (range 1-3). Crosshair would be the Heavy Weapon trooper with the DC-15x sniper rifle.

Therefore, FFG could use the Bad Batch for a Republic Special Forces unit.

Since the Bad Batch is featured in Clone Wars Season 7, whereas the SW Republic Commando game is 15 years old, it's entirely possible that the Bad Batch will be chosen as the Republic's 2nd Special Forces expansion over the Republic Commandos.

I'm not saying they couldn't, I'm just saying unlike ARCs who specialize in a wide variety of weapons, Bad Batch each have a specific thing. Tracker uses a single DC-17 and knife, Tech dual wields them, Wrecker has the DC-17m, Crosshair has a new sniper (that's not the DC-15x but that's semantics). I was just wondering how you'd like to see that represented. Having them lose their identity to just be Republic Commando's with the DC-17m doesn't do them justice.

Boba Fett is a bad example, he's an Operative, with some of those weapons on command cards.

I also doubt Bad Batch, a unique named squad, would be the second special forces, instead of the 4th like other unique named squads. Republic Commandos also appear in 2 episodes of Clone Wars so I just don't see your point...They're more likely for a generic SF squad.

We just need to wait and see how they handle rules for inferno squadron, which also have only unique characters. And they will do the same for bad batch squadron.

Even as an Empire Forever Fan, my money would be on the Bad Batch on that match up.

Yes, I’m a republic player, and yes I too want to see Bad Batch turn up.

But have we considered the things for CIS? I want to see Trench, and the new droids (at least I don’t recall them) from episode 2.

How do you envision Trench rules/stats wise? we never see him in combat (yet) but only as a fleet admiral and now on land. CIS desperately needs some mid-point cost characters too(I'm assuming the tactical droids will be the generic or low point commanders)

Somewhere close to a Krennic counterpart. I’m not 100% sure on mechanics but something to express tactical/strategic mind. 90ish points.

Isn't it combat training (melee), DC-15A and DC-17? (for a normal unit)

Technically veers never got his hands dirty either (besides possibly comics) yet he made the empire roster.

Edit: In all honesty he would make for a great veers/Leia analog for CiS, just there are more attractive fan options from the earlier seasons yet...

So 4 episodes of Ahsoka doing Ahsoka things and what was the last arc? Is it Obiwan? If its Anakin and Padme i may be done.

That's always been the worst part of this show was any thing with them in it.

If they so the arc where boba and Cad Bane duel it out, that could be interesting

Last arc is Siege of Mandalore I’m pretty sure.
