Same-era factions game balance: first order vs resistance

Greetings. With the faction proliferation and upcoming scenarios, I was wondering how much balanced or one-sided are the matches between same-era rival factions, in case of this thread, first order vs. resistance , resistance vs. first order.
Feel free to discuss standard, epic or other scenarios and game modes.

In my personal experience its probably the closest matchup right now. I play first order and never feel like I'm out of the game. That being said I haven't played a lot against the new transport. I think resistance has a slight edge because they have more ships and crew.

Its tough to really prove it though because resistance and first order seem to have smaller player bases. I think republic aces peeled of a lot of resistance a wing pilots. I am the only person at my hobbyy store that plays first order.

First order got a much needed boost last month and I expect them to become more popular especially when we get the TIE/ba.

the only game my Resistance list lost was to a FO list that was almost it's dark-side opposite, and I only lost the match by 4 points. I think against each other they are a good match; they have decent ships and pilots, some good upgrades, and the tech slot stuff that they share between them. :)

Hard to say when they are probably the least used factions currently (aside from the CIS). As was noted above, most resistance pilots defected to the republic.

I think the First Order will be really exciting once we have the new interceptor in hand.

Resistance #s are certainly on the up and up given Big Deal's success. The TIE/ba will definitely influence interest in the faction, I agree.

I wonder how many dedicated Resistance players there are vs 'flash in the pan" ones since Finn is powerful right now, but is sure to get nerfed in the next adjustment?

Feels like more of them are Rebel 4 ship players, but Resistance just does 4 ship better.
