The Mandalorian

I am just not convinced that no Star Wars is better then bad Star Wars. I got into X-wing/Legion because of the soft reboot and I love the option not to go see the movies. And I bring up the PT so much since people came around to those movies and now say they are the best ones. I would not bet against that happening with the ST as well.

I would like everyone to appreciate how brilliant and stupid this scene is now. George finally figured out a way to get Han to shoot first AND get to call it self defense. Greedo now just shouts "DIE" or something and Han gets to claim self defense. He could remove the crazy head twitch, Greedo missing, and admit that he wanted the scene changed. INSTEAD he doubles down on Han's uncanny luck, throws in a random word, and most likely gets Han to shoot first in order to kill the saying. And the end result is that the internet gets to one again make fun of the poor guy who will quit while he is ahead........................... It's almost like poetry. It rhymes.

I’m doing two months for now for the same reason.
Waiting for new content from that other Disney side gig Marvel.
But watch Robin Hood!

I don't follow that chain of stuff except the Lego cartoon version cause my kids like them.

Which one?

You do know that people do this sort of thing all the time.
We cannot right every wrong we ever come across and that's the ones in our daily lives.
She was
1) Outside of Republic space where they don't recognize her money;
2) Trying to hide her identity so she didn't get kidnapped or assassinated;
3) Rather more preoccupied with the military occupation of her home;
4) Probably told by the Jedi that Anakin would be better off without his mother and if she showed up it would get him kicked out of the Order
We also know that the Hutts weren't part of the Republic and at that point were likely more than capable of defending their borders against the limited military forces of the Republic.
She could also possibly cause an intergalacitc incident. "Oh...this is the Tatooine slave woman that I liberated when I....was never there for any reason...."
So what, exactly, was she supposed to do?

Reject the overt and clumsy sexual advances of her creepy stalkerish son, a few years later?

Send some gold or whatever with a courier to get her sometime in the several intervening months or years. I might not right every wrong I see, but I'd keep my close friend's mom from working in a sweatshop in the 3rd world if all it required was $100 and some certified mail. Which is about the equivalent, considering Padme's situation.

Also that.
Plus she should watch The Mandalorian. Which it turns out, has nothing to do with Manglors . Oh well.

Plenty of people see horrible conditions in other places, some of them other countries, some of them down the road, and do nothing about them.
I'm pretty sure that by the time those intervening months or years went by she'd forgotten about Shmi. Her reaction to Anakin in AotC would indicate she hadn't thought about him in years.
I also don't think they were really that close as friends before AotC. She probably didn't see him between the celebration on Naboo and her apartment on Coruscant.

This is great. Oh, Werner:
Favreau has made some highly successful films recently; did you feel an element of pressure working with him?
I do not know what other films he has made.
Can we make Maclunky a slang word meaning "tiny unnecessary changes"? Like "I went back and repainted all the front sights on my stormtroopers guns! Total maclunky!"

It’s getting downright Orwellian in the franchise.

Some of them, are very well made.
Iron Man (original)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. I
Black Panther
All the above are stand alone movies.

Episode 2 is streaming now.
Hopefully that'll get the conversation back on track. How many times do we have to go the same **** well to talk about the same **** complains about the ST/PT before we realize it doesn't accomplish anything? Jeez.
