I mean Yorick and Calvin are Survivor and they seem like hardened monster killers. I think the real definition of the classes is their motivation.
Survivors are described as "everyday people in the wrong place at the wrong time, simply trying to survive. Ill-prepared and ill-equipped, Survivors are the underdogs, who rise to the occasion when their lives are threatened."
Versus Guardians who "feel compelled to defend humanity, and thus go out of their way to combat the forces of the mythos. They have a strong sense of duty and selflessness that drives them to protect others, and to hunt monsters down."
I don't know. I still think Hank fits the Survivor bucket better. He's just a farm hand who finds monsters on his land. How is he different from Yorick? What is Hank's motivation? Is he going out of his way to hunt monsters because he feels compelled to help people or is he just rising to the occasion (even though he is ill-equipped to fight against the mythos elements)?
Is he going out looking for trouble or did trouble find him? I'd argue trouble found him since he's just trying to find his "pa". I agree he should be pretty resistant to taking horror though. The guy's story kinda presents him as fearless.
Add: Also by that definition Lily is definitely a Guardian.
