super natural Luke

By Wiredin, in X-Wing Squad Lists

lets build a competitive Super Natural Luke list.... I got my hyperspace trial coming up in a couple of weeks and since I already got all the swag aside a words invite (which I cannot attend anyways) I decided lets have some fun. Looking to build something that will be fun to play but not loose every game.

Starting with the blueprint: must be Super nat Luke, prefer to have regen. essentially a 95 point Luke looks like:

Luke Skywalker (62)
Supernatural Reflexes (24)
R2-D2 (5)
Spare Parts Canisters (4)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Ship total: 95

Luke Skywalker (62)
Supernatural Reflexes (24)
R2-D2 (5)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Braylen Stramm (51)
Selfless (3)
Shield Upgrade (4)

Biggs Darklighter (48)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)
Total: 197

This is the first build that comes to mind. Biggs and Braylen can keep each other (and Luke) alive by spreading damage. Will help get Luke to the end game where he needs to be, and we all know how good Braylen can be. Biggs is often overlooked, but very good. With no Leia or Cassian it will not be as strong as it could be.

Luke Skywalker (62)
Supernatural Reflexes (24)
R2-D2 (5)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Braylen Stramm (51)
Shield Upgrade (4)

Cassian Andor (51)
Passive Sensors (3)
Pivot Wing (0)
Total: 200

Instead of Biggs and the damage sharing we just go for Cassian. His ability will give Braylen more flexibility to move around.

Luke Skywalker (62)
Supernatural Reflexes (24)
R2-D2 (5)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Jake Farrell (36)
Crack Shot (1)

Arvel Crynyd (34)
Crack Shot (1)
Intimidation (3)

Green Squadron Pilot (32)
Crack Shot (1)
Total: 199

probably the least competitive of the bunch, but potentially the most fun?

One A-Wing I keep thinking about is a Squad Leader Phoenix A-Wing. An only OK support ship in itself, but it goes wicked fast when not supporting, which seems like an interesting tool.

//

If this isn't hyperspace, the Luke/Braylen/Cassian list could use Jyn Erso. Evades are *great* on Luke Skywalker.

//

Spare Parts vs Afterburners is an interesting choice to me. X-Wing doesn't have quite as good action economy as an Aethersprite, so burners could be handy, and it might be more restrictive to use SPC.

Or even just another Shield directly... Actually... with Shield only being 6 points on Luke (rather than 8 on Corran or Anakin), that seems a lot more direct, and probably helps his win condition more, since an opponent will need 4 hits onto Luke to score half points, rather than 3 hits.

the shield upgrade has crossed my mind a lot as it's more reliable than the canisters for sure. I'd like burners too, but it starts becoming a super fat luke! I got a Luke/Cass/Jan list with Jyn and Luke is hard to kill in that one for sure

Luke with ST and R2-D2 leaves room for Biggs and Heff with Selfless, Leia, and a TacOff. Support, damage spreading, okay offense, a good blocker

I have build two lists with Regen-Luke which I like. especially the Millienium-Lando and Regen-Luke is great

Luke Skywalker (62)
Supernatural Reflexes (24)
R2-D2 (5)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Jan Ors (43)
Moldy Crow (18)

Ten Numb (48) OR Thane Kyrell (48)

Total: 200

Luke Skywalker (62)
Supernatural Reflexes (24)
R2-D2 (5)
Spare Parts Canisters (4)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Lando Calrissian (80)
Nien Nunb (5)
Jyn Erso (2)
Shield Upgrade (4)
Hull Upgrade (3)
Millienium Falcon (6)

Total: 195

Looks awesome, until you realize you’re bringing R2-D2 twice!

jokes aside, R2 astro on Luke instead and it still looks cool
