Trying to ignore the ST stuff, to avoid complaining. Big question though: why does the Mandolorian have a unique AT-ST variant? Shouldn't it be the same version we see in the OT, as the show takes place a year or so after Endor?

I always just assume there are at least 100s of active variants of weapons, vehicles, etc active at any time. I mean most militaries boast tons of different versions of similar tanks and planes active at the same time.

Maybe, as the show isn't out yet, and this is a SPOILER, we will likely find out when the show airs. But just a casual look shows the pilot doesn't resemble an imperial at all, so a logical conclusion is that it is not owned and operated by the Empire any longer. That means it has probably been repaired and likely modified, at the very least painted.

As Lego tends to do new models all the time of star wars vehicles, incorporating new elements (pieces), they change things but it is also likely a plain old at-st that is operated by “raiders” that the mandalorian is hired to deal with.

And that's just one one planet. Imagine a galaxy spanning civilization where more man-hours unfold each year than have occurred in all of Earth's history.
