I've been tinkering with lists that use MGTs for an upcoming Hyperspace tournament and I was struck with something during a game I played not too long ago. Do barrel rolls count as movement for the ship ability? Typically, they are actions that result in movement (a semantic difference, but a real one nonetheless), but a comment in another thread seems to suggest that they do still count as "moving", and would therefore be covered with the ship ability "While you move, you ignore asteroids". My interpretation is that "while you move" refers specifically to executing a maneuver.

Yes, RRG, Pg 6:
"Performing a barrel roll does not count as executing a maneuver but does count as a move."
This is a change from 1e, where moving only referred to the manoeuvre. In 2e it refers to the manoeuvre, plus any non-manouevre movement such as barrel rolls and boosts.
