Take Command of the Fleet
Article on how the build-a-bear commanders work in the RitR campaign.
"Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to a closer look at the task force commanders..."
Sorry, just had to point out the usual spelling error 😂

Master Coordinater and Fighter Group Leader look fun for a fleet with Yavaris
If people that get paid to wright have spelling/grammar issues it makes me feel a little better about my short commings. Hopefully this means RitR will drop sooner than latter hoping late this month earlier next.

Indeed. They have to choose one or the other though.
So how many different types of commanders does everything think we will get? I think we will get commanders for the main 4 commands on a dial, but will they add anything new, like for the new Assault defensive token or a munitions expert to lay proximity mines?

We get 4 one for each command plus an Espeanoge and Logistics tree.

Ah wait, I heard no title for ships in Task Force. Darnit.

I can just have one thing from this list at a time? I get that I can only have Master Coordinator II or III if I have the previous Tier. Can you go back a Tier? Can you go from Master Coordinator at Tier I to Fighter Group Leader or only to Master Coordinator II? If you go from Master Coordinator I to Fighter Group Leader could you shift to Master Coordinator II?
If you start on the Squadron list can you go to one of the other command lists? I don't see wanting to do that since you'll likely grow your fleet around your commander but...
You're going to be sorta stuck aren't you from a getting the experience points standpoint?

Only not initially!

I am trying to find an image that someone posted of the page with all the rules, but the basics are something like this. You cant have more than 5 experience worth of abilitys, you can't have more than one ability at the same teir in the same tree, you can take abilitys from different trees. Again that is just vaguly the rules I remember from the photo I can't seam to find anymore.
This is my new favorite image:
I lve the Arq's Republic livery.
Did anyone notice that we'll need "gray" sleeves for protecting everything? I wonder if it's only for the mission cards or something else as well.

Picked up my copy from GenCon - the new squadron and objective cards are also the "gray" sleeve size (as usual).
A good game mechanic to add flavour to campaigns. In broad terms, I like it.

Because they’re clone wars era ships? With a storied enough history, it would t be repainted at refit. That’d be bad luck.

You can have both.

Ah never mind then. I knew one could replace the other, but I thought you couldn't have both at the same time.

Seems like ffg is moving new products to the gray sleeve size, x-wing 2.0 consists of all gray sleeve size cards as well. Kind of beneficial for us too, as the standard sleeve size is most common and available

No I meant I was wondering why the artist painted the picture in republic colours rather than imperial.

Because it tells a story and raises questions. What action has this ship seen? Why wasn't she repainted like other Arquitens? Who commands her?
It's a more intriguing picture this way.
I feel like this campaign might give the loosing side a way of catching up. This is something I missed in correlian conflict where the campaign was decided round 1 due to a terrible start from the rebels vs a empire with tons of repair points.

I mean, what’s the difference?
