Lando (Rebels), anyone has tips to which lists to fly? :)

Thanks!!

Lando Pilot or Crew?

lando with Wedge/Luke is a pretty common list

Pilot :)

Wedge/Luke is nice

With the extra actions he gives, he isn't bad with some low init torp carrier Y's.

I had a lot of fun with various combinations of Lando w/ Nein, Wedge, and Norra in the Y. You have several different ways to approach it and it's thematic to boot with all of them having taking part in the Death Star 2 core run.

We flew Lando w/ Nien, Luke w/R3 and Jek w/R5 today at lunch at it was fun.

I'm getting interested in trying Cassian / Sense together. Maybe something like:

Lando Calrissian (80)
Nien Nunb (5)
Cassian Andor (6)

Ship total: 91 Half Points: 46 Threshold: 7

Blue Squadron Escort (41)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Ship total: 41 Half Points: 21 Threshold: 3

Luke Skywalker (62)
Sense (5)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Ship total: 67 Half Points: 34 Threshold: 3

Total: 199

I would go for Regen-Luke with R2-D2 and include Thane, with is a good damage dealer because of his abillity and you will also have the the benefit of all initiative 5 pilots, so you can move and shoot in any order you like. And Luke with R2-D2 is just iconic :)

Lando Calrissian (80)
Nien Nunb (5)
Ship total: 85 Half Points: 43

Thane Kyrell (48)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)
Ship total: 48 Half Points: 24

Luke Skywalker (62)
R2-D2 (5)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)
Ship total: 67 Half Points: 34

Total: 200

Yesterday I played this:

Lando Calrissian (80)
Trick Shot (4)
Nien Nunb (5)
Magva Yarro (8)
Ship total: 97 Half Points: 49 Threshold: 7

Gray Squadron Bomber (31)
Ion Cannon Turret (5)
Veteran Turret Gunner (8)
Ship total: 44 Half Points: 22 Threshold: 4

Wedge Antilles (55)
R4 Astromech (2)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)
Ship total: 57 Half Points: 29 Threshold: 3

Total: 198

Fun list to play :)

I like this a lot, but I'm not 100% sold on Braylen.

I don't see him benefiting from Lando as much as other pilots, and he's lacking a means to deal with his stress. If you self stress for double mods one turn, then you're locked out of a red maneuver next turn, and basically locked into a blue if you want a focus token.

I think Ten Numb is more self-sufficient, and pairs better with Lando.

Ten can take a lock with his action, then use Lando's action to focus into red barrel roll for the stress. With the points you save on Braylen, you can take Jyn Erso on Lando so that Ten's spare focus becomes an evade, which should help make him as if not more consistent than Braylen. And so long as you get the dice to burn that focus, Ten can 2k or 1 tallon next turn.

Dropping Trick Shot on Lando also gives you the points for FCS and Elusive on Ten. At that point, he's basically Braylen but with an extra evade token and the potential to keep using all the red on that dial. The defensive re-roll also slightly improves your odds of getting to burn that stress you just generated with the red maneuver.

I have this in my back pocket:

Lando with Magva, Nien, and Title

Luke

Arvel with Predator and Intimidation

The idea behind it was to make everybody as unappealing of a target as possible while still maintaining strong, modified attacks

Ten Numb (48)
Elusive (3)
Shield Upgrade (4)

Ship total: 55 Half Points: 28 Threshold: 5

Jake Farrell (36)
Outmaneuver (6)
Predator (2)

Ship total: 44 Half Points: 22 Threshold: 2

Lando Calrissian (80)
Perceptive Copilot (8)
Jyn Erso (2)
Shield Upgrade (4)
Millennium Falcon (6)

Ship total: 100 Half Points: 50 Threshold: 7

Total: 199

I’ve been flying this list with pretty good results, my opponents often go after Lando, with the extra shield and evade plus evade reroll it can endure a lot of damage. Ten can tank some with an evade courtesy of Jyn and hit pretty hard, that leaves Jake , he can be pretty annoying in the flank. Thing is that by the time Lando is dying my opponent list its quite well damaged so Jake can clean up and Ten can help him to bring down any beef around. Aces can be annoying but they can be dealed with, important tip its to maintain Jake alive, he can assist Ten or Lando to take down a foe, every game i lost with this list was because i lost Jake too early due to bad calls from me. So thats it, i hope you like it and give it a try.

I played 5 games with Luke, Thane, and Lando with Nien and Chewie. Won 2 (including against Fenn/Guru and Kylo/QD) and lost 3, but all 5 were a blast. I used Chewie once, and would gladly sub him out for an engine upgrade or almost anything else.

Lando Calrissian (80)
Luke Skywalker (26)
Nien Nunb (5)

Wullffwarro (56)
Lone Wolf (5)
R2-D2 (10)
Kanan Jarrus (12)
Afterburners (6)
Total: 200

I will be flying this shortly. Lots of supernatural shenanigans going on around here, so this is my way of dealing with that.

Okay, lets get crazy here...

Lando, Nien Nunb, Magva Yarro, Hull Upgrade, Shield Upgrade - 100 points

Chewbacca, Millennium Falcon, Selfless, Jyn Erso, Perceptive Copilot, Hull Upgrade, Shield Upgrade - 99 points

I think it would be silly, but this thread has given me the idea of

Lando Calrissian (80)
Trick Shot (4)
Nien Nunb (5)

Jake Farrell (36)
Predator (2)
Crack Shot (1)

Arvel Crynyd (34)
Crack Shot (1)
Predator (2)

Green Squadron Pilot (32)
Crack Shot (1)
Predator (2)

Total: 200

Lando Calrissian (80)
Nien Nunb (5)

Jake Farrell (36)
Outmaneuver (6)
Crack Shot (1)

Arvel Crynyd (34)
Predator (2)
Intimidation (3)

Green Squadron Pilot (32)
Crack Shot (1)

Total: 200

Probably not great, but should be fun.

So I flew this last night with 1 change (could not find my Magva card, so last minute swapped in Leia) I flew against a newer player flying Padme, Handmaiden (both with Protons) and Ahsoka in the Delta 7. She made some mistakes, mainly she ran way too much giving me bad shots but getting no shots for herself in several rounds allowing me to take offensive target locks and plink in damage while taking none in return.

When she did concentrate fire, the Millenium Falcon title saved several damage on Chewie and Selfless stole 3 crits off of Lando during the torpedo barrages.

With about 3 minutes left before time called, I killed her last ship. Lando had lost his 6 shields and Chewie had lost all shields and 1 hull so I was still at full points.

I am very surprised by the list so far, but need to take on some of the more experienced players in my league before I can make an honest evaluation.

I was hoping to play you after that first game, but you left and then they left and I was left with Nick...that didn't end well lol

...

I am very surprised by the list so far, but need to take on some of the more experienced players in my league before I can make an honest evaluation.

Got in two more games. One against the guy who is usually in the top 2 or 3 in league standings and tournaments. He Flew Anakin, an ARC and Ric Olli. Dont remember his exact builds but he had R2's on a couple. He witled away at me I did a good job of forcing him to split his fire and the 2 rounds he could have had his best shots, he had weapons disabled from getting shields back. I managed to kill Ric and the Arc midway while he had both of my ships down to about 3-4 hull. With about 3 minutes left I got Ani's shields gone ( for the 2nd time) and there was no way he could kill both my ships in one more round so he called it.

Then I played a guy who has been steadily improving and only flies Scum for 2 years. He brought 5 naked Kihraxz and a 10 point bid just because he didnt really have anything else to put on them. This list worried me because he had a lot of red dice and the ability to block me which would really stop my 3-4 action equivalent per turn set up. It was a very back and forth match. In the end he got Chewie and I had 6 hull left on Lando and he had two damaged ships but his 1.5 ships of points left on the mat beat me by 8 points. We both agreed that 1 more round and I probably win it.

Conclusions:

5 out of 5 for fun factor. This list was a blast. So much beef and so much jank to get thru. Everyone I played did so much damage but I only lost 1 ship in 3 matches.

4 out of 5 for Fire power. The extra actions meant I usually had good mods for most of my shots.

The list can be vulnerable to mass blocking and Init 5-6 aces but the bowtie makes it hard to dodge all the shots. I will definitely fly again.

Try this! It is fun!

Lando Calrissian (80)
Cassian Andor (6)
Nien Nunb (5)
Millennium Falcon (6)

Ship total: 97 Half Points: 49 Threshold: 7

Luke Skywalker (62)
R2 Astromech (4)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Ship total: 66 Half Points: 33 Threshold: 3

Arvel Crynyd (34)
Intimidation (3)

Ship total: 37 Half Points: 19 Threshold: 2

Total: 200

Cassian is free Sense out to range 2 and makes Arvel even more effective. Also, Lando can coordinate Arvel at Init 5 too. Sooo fun.

I was planning something similar to this for Friday, but with Sense on Luke *as well* as Cassian on Lando (no R2, no title on the falcon, +predator on Arvel)

I'm not sure whether Cassian + Sense is overkill yet, but changing my dial with knowledge of where a key opponent ship is going to be seems good ...
