There's an excerpt from Disciples of the Dark Gods in this month's issue (#105) of Game Trade Magazine (available at most game stores). It's a sneak peek at one of the Calixis Sector's most wanted heretics, an Alpha-level psyker known as The Burning Princess. Be sure to check it out if you want a juicy preview of the exciting new sourcebook for Dark Heresy, due out at the end of this month.

I was also a guest on the very cool Accidental Survivors podcast, be sure to give that a listen.
Historical Archives

When it comes to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, I am a bit of a fluff fanatic. I've read everything from Slaves to Darkness to 'Ere We Go and many more of the older books. It's fascinating to see how the setting has developed over time from its roots. My White Dwarf collection spans fifteen years, and I have some very old models in my army collection. You could say I am a bit obsessed!

One of the things I am most proud of is not just my model collection, but also my comprehensive assortment of Black Library novels. I just finished Red Fury by James Swallow, as a matter of fact. There's a ton of great stories told in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and these books make great source material and inspiration for telling your own stories in the Calixis Sector using Dark Heresy.
Online Resources

The internet has been good to Dark Heresy; there's quite a few great sites out there on the world wide web dedicated to Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay, not the least of which is Fantasy Flight Games' own Dark Heresy forum, which has garnered an impressive 1,600+ topics and over 32,000 messages.

These forums have given rise to some excellent discussions and TWO great webcomics that I read regularly: Order of the Aquila and Servants of the Imperium.

No discussion of Dark Heresy web presence would be complete without mentioning Dark Reign, a fan site and collection of articles, adventures, and other great resources par excellence! Another great site is Schola Progenium, run by Sean Schoonmaker (you may remember him from the recent designer diary on playtesting).

One more fantastic resource that most Dark Heresy fans may not be aware of is the online Dark Heresy Character Creator made by Jason, one of our valued fans. Great work, Jason!
The Next Step

I do apologize for having been silent these last few weeks; I've been hard at work on Creatures Anathema, getting this book ready for a successful release in January 2009. This upcoming supplement is a bestiary containing both classic Warhammer 40,000 monsters and brand-new threats lurking within in the Calixis Sector. Creatures Anathema goes hand-in-hand with Disciples of the Dark Gods in providing a wealth of enemies and conspiracies to challenge any group of Acolytes. GM's rejoice; more bad guys are on the way! Also, watch this space — I will be adding some sneak peeks of Creatures Anathema in future installments.

Until next time, may the light of the Golden Throne show you the way.

Ave Imperator!
