While I do look forward to getting my hands on Venators and Recusants, I still have ships that I want for the current factions, for example I would like to see what a qaz-class Star Destroyer looks like. Armada gave us our first look at the Starhawk, so why not give us some more never before seen ships? Another oft repeated idea is for the Dreadnaught cruiser to come into the game alongside the Assault Frigate Mk1, which I would like to see as the Rebels only have 1 medium ship.

What do you guys want before the Clone Wars comes to Armada?

A medium base ship for the Rebels that fills literally any slot.

I'd like to see more dual-slot card upgrades. The Boarding Trooper effects are the only ones right now, but why not? I could see this happening once CW ships are out so who knows what's being planned.

Ion+Turbolaser upgrade:

Disruptive Firepower

"Blue and Red Crit: The defender loses one shield and is dealt one face-up damage card."

Support Team and Defensive Retrofit:

Making Redundant Shields Obsolete

"[Repair Command] When you Activate you may spend a [Contain] to remove one face down damage card and move two shields."

Officer+Weapons Team+Turbolaser

Advanced Coordinated Gunnery Teams

When declaring a target. you may shoot the same target from the same hull zone more than once per activation. If you do, remove half the die from your die pool, rounded down.

One more fighter pack for each faction.

AF MKI as a new medium for the Rebels

Corellian Gunship for the Rebels (already featured in slaved turrets alt-art!)

The last ships I want to see are all Rebel ones:

MC 90

Mon Cal Star Defender to match the Executor. (I know they're releasing the Starhawk but it still can't match an SSD as a centerpiece for a fleet. Rebels need something equally bold. And Starhawk is already New Republic era, so that's not an issue)

A Dreadnaught class heavy cruiser

A Nebula Class Star Destroyer.

If they released those four ships, I'd say they pretty much got all the important classes from Legends and canon.

IF there are any Imperial ones....hmmm

Lancer, Carrack, and Strike Cruisers.

I would like a new small and cheap ship for the Empire to help with the variety in the almost non-existent imperial MSU lists. (Maybe the Imperial support vessel from Rebels )

And the Immobilizer 418 cruiser. Its canon and the interdictor really needs some new experimental retrofit upgrades. It could be a relatively expensive small base ship that only gets one experimental retrofit slot.

A new Fighter pack, TIE Avenger & Uwings would be a good start.

A revamp/expansion of the raid & boarding mechanism perhaps? Love to see some graded boarding trooper cards eg: boarding troopers (lv1), stormtroopers (lv2), Darktroopers (lv3)...

As new canon seems to be the only resource, I’m guessing the Imperial Support vessel (2 fleet support slots please!) & a gunship flotilla would be the most likely.

Some card packs with errata-ed (is that a word?) cards & maybe an odd new upgrade cards thrown in for good measure 😁

Oh, and some cross faction ships from clone wars- want me some imperial acclamators!- which would be great for an expanded raid & boarding mechanism.

Well, Raid certainly got a boost with RitR...

But with most things, I'm always in the path of "You'll get something new when you've fully experienced what you've already got", and that counts Raid for most Imperial Players I know - They didn't really leverage it in any way, giving it up for dead (when I feel it was just niche, not dead)... But hey, RitR will change that... Even if just for surprise Assault

From a design perspective, Canon is the primary source after all - Lucasfilm and Disney will be reluctant to go and allow access to things when there's a new equivelant in existance. Darktroopers are probably out, but the Security Droids that resemble them superficially can probably go in, for example.

But there does seem to be some allowance for things that have already been approved to continue to be approved, after all - even in other systems moving across to Armada (that's the only way I can see we got Maarek, E-Wings and Corran, after all).

Otherwise, you really need to have a niche to put things into, and have to eavoid pitfalls and traps.

I mean, the Rebels could probably do with another Medium ship... But Imperial Smalls have to be balanced along the lines of "They can't have a Hammerhead equivelant because Vader BT, and indeed, BT exists with Avenger on the Table."

Same as Fleet Supports seem to be built on the Flotilla chassis in mind... Giving a heftier ship with single, let alone dual access? That seems like a nightmare balance scenario for design...

I would like to see the dorrean gunship and AFMK I for the rebels. Carrak support vessel for the Empire and I guess something else to even the out the ship count. Another squadron pack would be nice with gunboat, tie hunter, and tie punisher for empire, and u-wing, K- wing and something eles for the rebels. It would give a since of complteness at least for me, to each faction.

Something like the Carrack light cruiser? Is that the Imperial support vessel?

My thoughts on it were- there have been times I’ve tinkered with fleet lists and really wanted 3 distinct fleet supports, which you now can’t do.

So you could have the ISV with 2 FS slots. Make it a light combat ship & mainly a suppprt platform. The trade off naturally is that you have 2 support slots in one non-scatter place. And you are spending more points on a single activation (activation spam I’m given to understand was the biggest factor in flotilla limits).

I have no doubt it could be balanced. If they can balance the SSD I’m sure this wouldn’t be too much trouble.

I'm especially bitter.

I don't think the empire deserves anything else special and unique until the Rebellion gets access to the two concepts/upgrades that are Unique to the Empire now.

The Nebulon-B2 it's called. It would be a nice addition for sure.

The imperial gunboats, are the Alpha class Starwing, they are in x-wing and I'd love them to come over to Armada.

I'd love to have the transports, also would love Sentinels, even if they do cross over with the Lambda a bit.

Absolutely want Dreadnaughts, would have preferred that over the Onager tbh, I'll keep holding out hope they will show up eventually.

Would like a lot of the old legends stuff found in games like Rebellion and X-wing/Tie Fighter series.

U-Wings, definitely. Preferably in a chimera-esque pack not a squadron pack. Not sure what ship they would bundle it with though.
