Oh man. What if the TIE Silencer "Rush" in the upcoming pilots pack had essentially that ability: able to use 2-speed boosts and barrel rolls instead of 1-speed? That'd be SWEET, even if mid-level (3 or 4) initiative.
Two speed boost and barrel roll would be too much, but 2 speed boost would be interesting. Still might be a bit strong, someone should play test it. If it's too strong, make it only usable on the straight boost.
I'd like to see Zeta Ace as an SF pilot instead of a FO pilot. Or both.

Tarn is very Lt. Bastion-y right now. Make his ability an action (perform a lock) so he can't do it while stressed, and have the limitation that he cannot do it if he is in the attackers bullseye or that they must be in his front V arc to get it.

Hobbie could be straight over as you said, but honestly, even if Targeting Astromech made it's way into 2nd Edition, I don't think it'd be bad, as long as the astromech was limited to maybe 2 charges.

That's definitely a good thought. He needs something to reign him in, but I want to see him back. Perhaps Mimicked takes the opponent's initiative for activation while Mirrored takes the opponent's initiative for engagement?

I'd like his ability to be changed to "if you are in the enemies rear arc, you may add an eyeball result, or if the eney is in bullseye you may add a hit result" instead of the additional die.

Limit him to not being able to modify eyeball results while he defends. Hurts Jedi and disallows rerolls on eyeballs, but still allows modifying blanks via Optics, Locks, etc.
