As @Hiemfire noted, the title did indeed change. To be fair though, I did sort of jump on @Pewpewpew BOOM unnecessarily. I actually sent him an apology directly so as not to derail his thread further.

There's certainly something to be said for having generic ship templates that can be easily swapped about. It does make set up easier and part counts lower. There's some solid logic here. If FFG had moved in this direction, I wouldn't have liked the change but I could understand it, shrug and accept it.

Personally, I prefer to see names under the ships at a glance. I've played a lot of games where my opponent's cards are a mess, or there's a damage card over the names on the cards. Casual games where we've used print outs, so the chits are the only easy identification to see. There's other odd examples in play where I have issue with the lack of identification that are more rare and not really worth bringing up.
