To take a break from my recent posts, which have been mostly complaining, I thought I'd focus instead for a thread on the cool moments that make Tannhauser games really memorable.

For example...

A brutal fight to complete their goals was leaving the Union and the Reich with growing death tolls. Heinzinger used the Patmos amulet to pull Barry into range of a Strosstruppen's attack, and the demon tore him to pieces.

A turn or two later, with both sides almost gone, Tala stopped by the body of her fallen comrade and picked up his flash machine gun. As she did, the player controlling her declared "I'll avenge you Barry!"

Meanwhile, Heinzinger gunned down an already critically injured McNeal, leaving only Heinzinger and Tala left, and him only a few steps away from the Obscura Corp's final objective - an ancient seal that would surely unleash unspeakable eldritch power. All he had to was trigger it, and victory would be theirs - with terrible consequences for the world.

Winning the initiative, Tala made a desparate dash across the board (2 vps spent on movement) and was just able to get Heinzinger in her sights. Just as he was about to complete the ritual, Tala fufilled her promise of vengeance by blasting him apart with Barry's machine gun.

What are some of your Tannhauser war stories?

Hopefuly, people will have better stories/comentaries then me as I've only played the game 10 times in nearly three years of owning it.

ha ha, we have been trying to get everyone to dress up in the costume of their chosen faction, sort of like a cosplay tannhauser, not sure if a couple of ss a likes would go down well walking down the street..

but think it would be a fun evening, must talk in character as well

If I were going to do that, I'd have to buy Novgrod first. The thought of any the gals in our group having a whip or large bomb during a game session is just too scary

Yeah, but I don't think dressing up in costume would involve actually getting possessed, while they might well decide to actually carry a whip

lol, some of the girls round here were only to willing to dress up in leather and whips!!

its quite fun also sometimes putting on some "in theme" music while you play, we got some for each map, not sure where it came from, was it you miah?
