Pretty sure Fantastic Four has not been confirmed to be under FFG's licence.
Or rather, it might be that they have it (Since Disney/Marvel now have it back) but that FFG might not have approval to include those characters.

The Fox and Sony deals were for movie rights. That has nothing to do with licensing their characters for other products or toys. All that is OBE now that Marvel got the movie rights back for their properties from Fox. It's really just a question of what FFG is excited to explore and what Marvel wants FFG to push at any given time. Fantastic Four launched a new comic run and has appeared in both Dice Masters and Legendary. I'm sure the first family will show up here eventually. It's just a matter of when and how (hopefully a Galactus box).
Edited by phillosIt makes plenty of sense to focus the game initially on Avengers properties as they’re very much at the forefront when people think Marvel Comics currently.
If the game is successful, I’ve no doubt the game will expand into other areas.

I wouldn't say it has nothing to do with it, because Marvel is on record as deliberately pushing the characters they have all the rights to over those they do not. It doesn't directly affect the licensing for other products, but it definitely affects it indirectly.
I'd love to see Moon Knight. Depending on the version they use, I'd love to see him with 2-3 different character cards. Exact same hero, but different alter egos. Have a mechanism that allows or forces (according to threat, perhaps?) the player to choose a particular alter ego that has its own hand size, recover stat and ability. Super Thematic. Fits with the character's Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Where have you learned such great powers of thread necromancy? I must know your secret!
I have to admit, Moon Knight would be cool. Personally, I'm waiting for either Venom or Agent Venom to be made into a hero pack.

I’m surprised they choose Vulture and not Venom as Spidey nemesis. But at least we will see him as vilain.
A question if the do a scenario pack for Vulture in the future (hopefully in a sinister six pack) could they give in the same time a new nemesis (venom or green goblin) ? Because I truth that we will not play vulture as vilain with him as nemesis in the same time.

Anything’s possible I guess - I’m assuming that they aren’t planning to do anything with characters they use as Nemesis, which is why Spider-Man has Vulture, rather than Green Goblin (his actual Nemesis). I would rate both Dr Octopus and Venom as more likely nemesis than Vulture as well, so I can only assume they want to keep those characters available for future projects...
Vulture was likely chosen as he actually turns up earlier than most of Spider-Man’s villains in the comics, and he was the villain in the most recent Spider-Man movie when the game was written...
Yes, I was very surprised to see Loki as Thor's nemesis in the card game because it seemed like they were going to go with B rank villains for nemesis. Loki has been all over the place the past few years: villain, anti-hero, uneasy ally... but then when we get main villains like Rhino and the Wrecking Crew, everything is on the table! ![]()

I think of all the villains, Loki showing up as a nemesis has the least impact on if he ever shows up as the main villain.
You could just argue the Nemesis version is another trick he's pulling, while off scheming somewhere else...
well, certainly the next female mary sue... Female thor?
I think they have stated a few times that they have all the marvel comics universe characters so that would include the FF.
But I think they are very smartly linking releases of characters to the MCU subtlety, for maximum exposure with the public.
So I dont expect the FF or X Men for some time.
My guess Guardians, SHIELD, Defenders, Eternals after they finish with the Avenegers arc they are currently on.
But who expected Wrecking Crew? So they are much more likely to throw us surprises with villains.
I would be shocked it the first story box was not Thanos related.

I'm thinking Thanos for the story box as well.
See Thanos would be a welcome surprise for the box, to me. Because if they wait too long on him, he’ll lose the pop culture relevance a bit. Plus they could tie it in to bring in the Guardians of the Galaxy.
But I’m still leaning towards War of the Realms, if I’m going with my gut.

I think Thanos is a popular villain who is only going to get less relevant over time, so doing him early is probably best. Same with Black Widow - she'll always be a relevant character in the comics, but by releasing in April this year, they’ll catch her at maximum relevance to the most people. She will never be as in the spot light as she will be for around 3 months in the middle of the year...
I would not be shocked to see a Black Knight hero around when the Eternals comes out. The Eternals themselves I’d imagine more as allies, but it’s possible they’ll gain a lot more relevance if their movie is popular (I was very shocked to hear that Marvel were developing the Guardians of the Galaxy originally- it’s hard to imagine now, but they were very D-List prior to their movie)...
Based on what we’ve seen that they’re going to be turning some allies into heroes (and vice versa if you’ve kept up with some spoilers) I predict we’ll see a Hawkeye hero before the end of the year (he will be the only original MCU Avenger without a hero at that point, and makes a lot more sense as a Hero than Hulk, who is generally more of an associate of other heroes at best, and often used as an obstacle). I also think Daredevil is a character that’s likely to get a hero pack (which would also mean each aspect had a ally to hero conversion from the core set).
Scenarios are interesting, and Wrecking Crew certainly shows they’re willing to go away from villains that people would be familiar with from the big screen, but I still feel like packs with some exposure would sell well. Dr Octopus and Venom are reasonable choices for Spider-Man related stuff. Mysterio probably would get a modular set. Red Skull is kind of iconic, so is likely. Mandarin is possible, but probably later once the Shang Chi movie introduces him. Dr Doom and Galactus are pretty famous I would say...
I’d really like some Kang stuff, but that might make a cool story box, with events taking place back and forth across time, and different versions of Kang...

I had no idea who they were or why a movie would be made about them. After seeing the first one, I'm glad they did it. I like that the MCU keeps introducing obscure (to the layperson) heroes and characters. Makes it fun to play the game and read the comics and then see them in the movies when you didn't notice them before while watching the first time.

Exactly. I had a similar reaction when I heard they were doing the Eternals movie, but if they can make the guardians a household name, it’s possible the Eternals could get as big...
