Ok, so post here when you get your first official kill of an SSD, what turn it died and what fleet you ran. To be considered you have to have being playing against an official SSD model, no proxy’s/vassal/simulation, etc. Also, it only counts if one of your own ships dealt the killing blow. (No Auto-Win for flying off table, winning by points, tie-breakers, forfeits, medical emergencies, divine intervention including but not limited to Flies, Frogs, Lice, etc).

Title updated to sound more like golf. Really random reason: renumbering the list in this format to deal with ties reminded me of where I first learned this scoring system, Fuji Golf for Windows 3.1. Aaaah. Nostalgia.

Okay so it was an 800 point sector fleet. I was up against an executor II "ravager", "Demolisher", and an ISD II "avenger" with 2 gozzers and no squads. I brought 3 ISD IIs, 2 set with dcos and 7th fleet the other Tagge strat adviser and avenger supported by 2 long range IO TRC kittens, an AA raider, coms net gozzer, and a small compliment of muti-role squads. I got the bid, chose hyperspace assault.



Skipping a high detail report, he dropped demo in behind my kittens with hyperspace assault round 2. Sank a kitten but lost demo almost immediately. The rest of the game was my 3 ISD IIs punishing the executor II. The ISD seen in the second image, to the left, placed brutally in the side arc of the SSD was the killer. At the end of round 4. A standard kitted 7th fleet ISD II...

Ultimately the ISD on the right died, but not before tanking 3 rounds of shots from both ravager and avenger. The ISD avenger was destroyed too... Then I sank the SSD, and shortly after his ISD avenger fell too.

400 point game here, round 3 kill, second player (my PIC.) It got a lucky aux roll and one-shotted the Hammerhead, but both braces and a redirect still got auto-burned and the damage just poured on after that. The MC75 loves to drop in the side/aux, pointed the same way and angled a little in, just like a remora on a shark.

If it’s number of kills, I managed one against @Ardaedhel yesterday (as we both blundered SSDs across the board for the first time.) Second player in the mirror match actually seems really strong; all those doctrines of first last and dictating range kind of go out the window when multiple enemy ships will move into red range (or even blue range with Ozzel) round 1.

I think the game point total should be a factor. 400 point games don't allow for executor models... which I can attest are **** hard to fell.... Sector point games should get a modifier of some sort in rankings. (presuming they brought an executor) lol

I think it absolutely should.

It can be much harder to achieve.

I don't really recall everything he had, but the important things I remember were Agent Kallus and H9s. No squadrons, but he was running two Gozantis in support. My bombers did the majority of the work here, of course, but my MC80 pounded the front arc pretty hard - the lack of ECMs on the ship made a huge difference. I could have killed it on turn 4, but he overlapped the station on turn 2 and it ended up obstructing his front arc, giving my squadrons nothing to do but hang out at distance 1-2 and wait for turn 3.

He killed half of my squadrons because of the huge amount of anti-squadron fire and one-shot both of my 75s at medium range. H9s on this ship are really good - they're going to make one shotting small bases a pretty common occurrence.

Played an 800 point game and basically crossed the "T" at long range, with my squads nabbing the deathblow on turn 4. Took out his SSD and one of his Assault Transports while losing only a single Potato.

Game may have been slightly tainted over my (incorrect it turns out) objection with using Jerjerrod in conjunction with Officer Ozzel to start the game, screwing his positioning up a bit.

Out of curiosity, what’s the point of SFO on the Raiders? It’s a Command value 1 ship, so you’d essentially have no dial at all.

I just killed one. Turn zero. Rammed it to death with Hammerhead corvettes. In which I took a hammer to a display. The hammer was named "the head corvette".
