Hi, I haven't played x wing in a long while. I'm coming back to play a tournament this satuday and I will bring an all x wing list. I have 2 ideas and I wonder what you guys think would work best in the new meta.

First list is a 3 x wing list that works on alpha strike with high PS.

Welcome back jocke01. The new meta seems to be skewing towards higher ship counts so I would recommend taking 4 ships. Upgrades as a whole are generally not as powerful as they used to be.

The jump from I2 to I3 doesn’t make such a big difference, and you can save 6 points on each of those by dropping them to Blue Squadron Escorts.

With no upgrades at all, you can fit Luke, Wedge, and 2 Blue Squadron Escorts at 199 points, giving you a mini bid against some lists or crack shot on Wedge.

Drop the stuff on Wedge and you can get braylen over 4th Xwing. Gives you a full mod heavy hitter protected by Biggs and selfless Xwing. Lets Wedge flank if he needs to versus Swarms, etc. Give your opponent a choice to try and get Wedge flanking, exposing back to Braylen, or go for the joust and let Wedge get you on flank.

Problem being he wants to bring an all X-wing list, so no Bs.

The 3 Xs isn't a bad idea but having more ships is better most times now. So yeah the idea of Luke, Wedge, and 2 Blues sounds pretty good.

Your idea on 4 that you mentioned isn't bad either, 3 of your ships are the same IN and got plenty of ways to IN kill IN 2 or 1 ships like 104th Arcs, Scimitar bombers. Biggs can also help keep Wedge alive longer.
