Hound's Tooth

By Garnazul, in X-Wing

Hi,

I have a question for you guys at Gen Con at the moment.

The Hound's Tooth model, is it different in size compared to the 1.0 model?

Sorry, I think that I'm just one of these scale people.

From what I have seen in people’s photos of the display, I think it’s the same size.

Looks like it's the same casting, but with a better paint job.

It seems like adding all these new paint jobs and articulations is one way FFG is trying to encourage older players to get the new models. You have a YV-666 freighter, but you don't have one that looks like that with a matching Z-95!

Unfortunately, it seems that way.

They could have made a model that would be more in sync with the 1/270 scale. Then the model would have a length similar to the Ghost starship.

Or

They could have used the legends size for the Hound's Tooth and the we would have another huge ship for the scum faction. Similar in size to the Gozanti Cruiser.

Well, it does seem to work to some degree.... I mean I do have a new Ywing and a new Fang I probably didn’t HAVE to have. I resisted the Bwing for now, though I’ve seen some triple B builds that have me sorta wanting it.

The tooth I am going to pass up. Even with the Z attached, it’s a lot of money just for new paint.

i am so bummed about this. love Bossk and his ride, cant stand that its model is in 1/450 or whatever.

i did the math and the interior of the ship is 6 feet wide in 1/270. 2 meters.

the thing has a corridor with rooms on either side on each deck, and a hangar bay a Z-95 can fly into, so there is no way in **** its narrower than my Ford Transit
