Some of these abilities are brutal. Master Navigator III clearly outclasses Madine for example.

Yeah, but you're not getting it right off the bat by paying 30 points, either... Really gotta earn it.
Some of these abilities are going to be super fun.
An Interdoctor with the Master Engineer commander could be intriguing.
The Gunnery section is my favorite so far. Ordnance Experts lets you Black flak squads ha.
I think infiltrator 3 and rapid deployment could be really strong on a squadron heavy list.
Also, does the Friendly Ships specification include friendly player controlled ships? For like a sector fleet game?
So you can have a total of 4 tiers worth of abilitys. So for example a tier 3 and tier 1 or 2 tier 2 etc. Is that correct?

This one rule is getting me tho:
“A commander can have multiple abilities from the same or different categories, but a player cannot purchase an ability more than once at the same tier.”
Does that mean during the purchase phase: I can’t grab two 1st Tier abilities? Like I can’t save up EXP and grab Master Engineer 1 & Repair Expert. I have to split them up between purchase phases.
OR
Am I just straight up not allowed to have 2 different abilities in the same Tier? Like Infiltrator 2 & Conceal 2?
Because if it’s the second one the Logistics category is gonna pay a heavy price as you’ll never be able to max out at 4 Tiers worth 😕

You cant have Infiltrate Tier 1 twice.

I wonder how good 4 tier 1 abilities would be for a fleet that has most of its points in 1 ship? Thinking kitted out ISD or Starhawk.

Hmm a Commander with master engineer 1, master gunner 1,and command staff would be really awesome for a super ship type thing.
Put Wulff and that new Imperial officer that adds tokens and effectively have 3 commands every turn!
