Returning Player, Help w/ Gondor

By manoftomorrow010, in Strategy and deck-building

Hey all, I have not played in forever, and I was tossing around ideas for a Gondor deck, solo. My card pool is relatively limited, so I'm wondering if I can even play Gondor effectively with what I have.

Packs: Core Set x2; Starter Box; Shadows of Mirkwood (complete); Dwarrowdelf (Complete); Against the Shadow (HoN, Steward's Fear, Druadan Forest, Amon-din); Saga (everything but the **** last box which is never in stock)

I'm thinking I'm very weak on willpower and card draw, but I am running into not knowing where to cut or what to add. Any help is great.

I would go mono-leadership with Aragorn, Faramir, and Boromir. Visionary Leadership, Sword that was Broken, and Aragorn’s toys will help with willpower. Lots of Sneak Attack Gandalf with Tome of Attannatar and Second Breakfast.

Anything similar I could do without Visionary Leadership and Tome of Atanatar? I don't have those packs and they're out of print :(

I'll look at putting together what I can with mono leadership though!

Here's a new version, with mono-Leadership heroes, but with Spirit tossed in thanks to Celebrian's Stone.

I'd rather swap Faramir for Imrahil and vice versa. Most allies are not good enough to be readied by Faramir, but his ally's willpower boost is awesome. Ally Imrahil also does not help you, better sacrifice an ally to ready his hero version, than sacrificing a hero for him to become one.

This is a good point. I made further adjustments.
