i6 Vonreg Over Under 65.5 pts?
Question should have been over/under 65.5, so that there's no excluded value.
yep, over/under needs to always be .5 increments. I vote 66.
Under. He looks good, but I'm not sure about 10 points better than Soontir good (even with the 3/3/2/2 stat line and that beautiful dial). FTT is a really good ship ability, but so is autothrusters.
I'd answered "over" in a snap judgment, but the more I think about it, under.
Assuming that a depletion token is essentially a Strain, but for red dice instead of green, Vonreg becomes a lot like L'ulo L'ampar, often either a 2/3/2/2 or a 3/2/2/2. Now, I think he'd be more expensive than L'ulo, since he does have the option to be a 3/3/2/2, but not necessarily up to Fenn Rau pricing. Somewhere like 55-60 seems like a reasonable guess.

This is about what I’m thinking too.
I think he'll start higher, then get adjusted down in a points update.
You can take a measly strain token to fully mod your i6 shot?
AND he can deplete/strain you!?
Better HOPE he's 65 plus!

Darth Vader but -3 force, Vader Ability, in exchange for debuffing opponents a native boost. And -1 hull and full mods require a self-debuff. Lol, no
I'm guessing a similar base price around the Tie-SF with special force gunner (3 red dice, 4 health with 3 green is pretty much equal to 6 health 2 green.)
So something like 42-44 point base. A PS3 Tie-SF like that pays 11 points to upgrade to quickdraw, which is...low, in my opinion (55 points Vonreg?) But I6 should cost more for more maneuverable ships.
It's also somewhat similar to a TAP, with the generic being PS3, having a similar dial, linked action, 4 health 3 green, etc. And the PS3 baron pays 20 points to upgrade to PS5 grand inquisitor (with double force mind you).
So a cost between 11 and 20 points, so around 16 points. My personal guess would be that Vonreg is going to cost as low as 60, but not more than 64 points.

Also a double repositioning, no stress/no charges no need for afterburners that hits harder than Vader thanks to emulating Wedge AND doesn't need a TL to not have a joke of a primary weapon
And a better dial
Edited by ficklegreendiceOf note, you have to guess right to stay on someone’s tail or keep them in arc after you make that bullseye decision with Vonreg, since it happens in the system phase.
That shouldn’t be difficult given the great dial and repo.
Edited by dsul413The ship is very comparable to the delta 7, with the 2/3/3/1-esque statline and double actions without stress. Their dial is better (hard 3 makes a difference), but they don’t have force. Anakin with CLT is 67 (conditional focus ~ depleted primary), so I would expect Vonreg around there, probably at 65. This would let you build Kylo, QD with gunner, and Vonreg with 4 points to spare for bid, Fanatical, hate, etc.
Note the sloops over the silencer’s talon rolls , which are much more valuable because they change the ship’s angle compared to the k turn.
He's closer to a Tie V1 and Tie Interceptor.
He's also forced to roll before he boosts unless you give him afterburners.

Also to note that if you get that bullseyes in one round, the opponent can just dial in a blue next turn, so when you give a strain in the system it immediately disappear.
So... not like wedge at all is it

Makes them more predictable though.
Im guesstimating 58pts. Take inquisitor, lose the force, up the init, add on special ability and some double repo for a couple more points. Seems about right. I assume afterburners will be glued to him along with predator or lone wolf. You are looking at around 65-70pt build which seems right.

Also can double reposition more than twice a game, has an evade action, chooses which debuff to take, doesn't need CD to perform a BR or TL over cloud/asteroid....
I'd say about equal
I voted under. I have a feeling they will push the ship as the first order isn't in a great place right now. Vonreg isn't a force user and his ability is useful but it isn't too oppressive.
I wouldnt be surprised if points end up higher once people figure him out. Either way I'm gonna have fun flying him.
I am really happy with the ship they did a good job of carving out a different role from the silencer.

🤨
What is it about FO that people say/have said are not in a good spot? The faction has:
Kylo (both super and non-triple digit point fortress)
Fanatical
Scorch, Longshot, Midnight, Backdraft, and other great fillers
The tech slot on every ship
Phasma, biohexacrypt, and other great toys
Upsilon, especially Tavson
Aces on High, Bunnbunnbunn!, Tavson Aces, Brolencers + Filler, 2I6 Kylo, QD+gang, etc. etc. have performed greatly in the proper hands.

Usable super filler/swarm. Tie FOs are really underwhelming.
Also QD isn't really an endgame maneuverable i6 (nor Midnight), so this Baron is a bit more of the classic i6 ace.
I predict FFG will make him 65.5 points just to spite us

Because, as you pointed out the faction is unable to be built (efficiently) in other ways than : 2 big aces, plus filler. (Since point change to the upsilon at least)
Because of the Elite nature of all the FO ships, and the cost of their platform, they really struggle to bring 4+ ships to the table without gimping themselves, and they have a very narrow choice of aces, so really, the faction has 2 ships, Kylo and Quickdraw, and you choose wich one you prefer to build around. If you're answer is you like both, cool but get used to having a massive bid and also every game being kinda the same. It gets boring quickly. They have the same choice in the whole faction as some ship chassis have, figuratively.

I could see it.
I've felt like first order has been kylo and tavson and than everyone else since the lt dormitz fiasco. Their are competitive builds but it gets stale.
With the point changes you can run 5 omega squadron experts with fanatical and advanced optics but I think that playstyle will get dull quickly (but it was still kind of exciting because it's been a year of the same 4 ships). Maybe the phasma tie sf will have a good swarm ability to make it fun.
I'm also optimistic that the 4 and 5 tie/ba may help TIE/FO 's which would open the faction up. This release will help the faction.
