Wave 6 and the Q1 Pilot, Device and Obstacle packs

For those of us who haven't bought everything, it's pretty exciting outside of the pilots. If you're already buying everything anyway, then yeah the pilots alone aren't that great of a value.

Those upgrade reprints are useful for people who aren't playing every faction. They don't need to buy Clone Wars stuff to get Passive Sensors, etc.

Proof that some people just can't be happy.

This in no way is disappointing.

What says I have to be happy with whatever FFG puts out? I'm a customer, I spend my money, so I get to voice my thoughts.

There's ships in the Empire in more need of pilots than the Striker or Decimator. Would rather have a pack fully dedicated to pilots.

TIE/ba (Vonreg's) has fine-tuned thrusters. Get a deplete or strain to lock or roll. Vonreg's Ability puts deplete or strain on a ship in bullseye during the system phase. The I5 seems to transfer tokens, maybe strain/deplete? I think I4 keeps enemies from spending focus and something else, if something is damaged nearby (can't quite make out the second line).

I'm having more trouble reading the cards in the Fireball spread. Bucket is both a pilot and an upgrade of some kind (I assume astromech). I think Bucket's pilot ability interacts with exposing damage cards (and such works with the Fireball ship ability). Fireball title also works with it. Yeager's seems to be about while damaged maneuvers are affected in some way, last line has something about advanced maneuvers. Kazudo, I think he rolls a bonus die if enemy ships have either more or less (not sure which) damage cards than him. Honestly surprised they did a generic here. Was expecting Tam as a pilot.

TIE Baron looks nutty good with Primed Thrusters. Double-reposition after a red move with only one total stress, and great blues to clear it up.

Granted, some people also felt the conversion kits were rip-offs.

So the RZA1 looks definitely like a new model. I just have primed one of the old ones, the new one has a lot more panel lines, and slightly different engines.

Now I know that I am definitely not painting the freshly primed one in the Siege of Lothal paint scheme (what was one of my alternatives).

Mag Pulse Warheads, looks like the first really punchy missile.

Probably expensive, but finally an option. (However knowing the tournament min max crowd, they will play it to death on TIE s/f, then it will get nerf hammered and the other platforms again have no missiles).

We wanted new Illicits. Nice pic!

Meh, how many Scum & Villainy have slam :(

What are "Deplete" tokens - anything known?

It really is hard to imagine they're anything else than "strain for attack" given that TIE/Baron's ability lets you suffer one or the other as the drawback for a rather powerful ability it has.

For now. Future proofing? Maybe burnout slam will be a thing again?

That's a Phoenix Squadron A-wing.

So Lancer and Kihraxz only if Burnout is an Illicit slot...

In case anyone is curious, those look like T-85s in the TIE/ba art for Maj Vonreg.

I'm not an art conspiracy theorist, and it matches Vonreg's first appearance in Resistance...but its worth noting.

1. Make a new illicit upgrade

2. Scum can't use it

3. Profit?

4. Scum are sad

Or other ships could come in with slam?

They could always make it a Mod that requires the ship have an Illicit slot without actually taking one up (or takes both a mod and Illicit slot but grants one Illicit slot).

Or FFG could always add an additional Illicit slot to some ships.

It's possible we could see one of the other difficult-to-pronounce SW Galaxies fighters, Hutt Cartel fighters, or the Skipray could show up in Scum with SLAM?

There's also the possibility that a ship could show up in another faction with SLAM and an illicit. I certainly didn't expect to see SLAM on the Fireball so anything could happen, I guess.

The Obstacles pack has different, new-look Gas Clouds.

It also comes with Strain tokens, so maybe they will change the rules on Gas Clouds to give strain.

(Strain tokens could instead be required by one of the new Environment Cards though.)

Probably gonna catch flak for this but whatever.

What the **** is up with that A-Wing paint job?

Why is it the only movie ship of the lot getting a non movie colour scheme? They didn't make the 2e X-Wing the green scheme from Rebels. They didn't make the B-Wing look like the Blade Squadron art. They didn't make the Interceptor look like Vult Skerris', or the Defender look like the Elite. Some people are new to the game as of second edition. Forcing them to go back to no longer in print 1e expansions to get the proper coloured A-Wing seems really unfair.

Poor Tam. Yeager wouldn’t let her race; FFG won’t let her fly.

Because we've seen Phoenix A-Wings do more than any other A-Wing in canon.

I really don't think most people will mind A-Wings not being RoTJ red. That's literally the least seen paint scheme now.

**** off have we.

We've seen blue A-Wings be useless cannon fodder that get blown up without doing anything by Vader.

We've seen blue or green A-Wings be useless cannon fodder that get blown up without doing anything by Fenn Rau.

We've seen Phoenix Squadron accomplish literally nothing in a raft of different circumstances.

We've seen the red A-Wings in the actual films take out TIE Interceptors. We've seen them destroy the Executor's bridge shield generators. We've seen them take out the Executor itself. We've seen them navigate the tunnels of the Death Star. They've been in games from X-Wing to Rogue Squadron to Battlefront.

The 1e A-Wing was always the wrong colour anyway. It was too bright. Too pink. This was FFG's chance to give us the proper dark red A-Wings of the films.

Shara Bey's A-Wing in Shattered Empire was red. L'ulo L'ampar's A-Wing in Shattered Empire and the Poe Dameron comics was red.

Yours is a **** take.

Its been confirmed via H&A contents listing. Also I dont thing we've ever seen a non-existent upgrade?

Agreed to non-existent; but we have seen the Fang with modification upgrades.
