The effects of her effect will trigger more than once per game. Additional defense token is a lot of minor effects. Discard to gain token effect means that accuracy generation means less against you. It makes Avenger less useful, which it feels about 30% of Imp fleets have.

Right, basically she's "Super-ECM" at the cost of discarding rather than spending tokens, but she only works on her ship, and does nothing for the rest of the fleet. Which gives her effect a small footprint (one ship, not fleet) and basically just revisits and amps up the effect of the most common defensive upgrade in the game (albeit more powerfully).

Mostly because that is assuming that the Imperials Run Away. That's the only time you need to be as Fast as a Star Destroyer.

I disagree in part with this one, if you're an Imperial trying to close the distance with an Ackbar conga line. Sometimes it's that you need to charge to get all dice on target. Most Empire stuff has heavy forward batteries, encouraging you to close and dish out damage.

My tongue in cheek “real world” statement doesn’t apply to the in-game concepts.

even then, if you were matched speeds, the nature of the game is still somewhat closing engagement... you only need to be *faster* than your opponent if your objective is essentially to run away.

-People gladly paid 38 for Ackbar in Fish Farm, which was a build where only one ship gained a buff. Ackbar just amps up the number of dice thrown, a common effect in game

-Rieekan only affects one ship per round for 30. Nobody complains that he doesn’t do enough.

She can also add a salvo token. Which has a yet unknown effect. It could be a big deal. If it is, her ability to give it to anything would be potent.

I imagine her on Mon Karen, equipped with Salvo, all of a sudden Xi7s/SW7s/XX9s look even nicer to blast holes in ships.
