I dont think anyone asked to buy 9 expansions simply to carry the ships they already owned from 1.0 into 2.0, but okay dude.

and before you go saying thats not the case:

2.0 core set, 5 faction conversion sets, epic set, epic conversion, card pack.

No, they asked for a balanced game that they could fly 4-6 ships on the table and be competitive. While also asking for Prequel Ships, Sequel Factions being separated, and combowing eliminated. These things come at a cost because the game wasn’t designed to be competitive or grow at this size.

The rate the game is expanding at is dizzying. Its hard to keep pace. Everyone wants new toys for their factions. 7 slices of pie to go around is no easy juggling act. Iv been really selective about what iv bought since 2.0 launched. Bought scum and half a rebels conversion kit, Lando's Falcon a quadjumper and two saws renegades expansions. Thats it.

FWIW they may never give Scum access to hyperfuel, because if they do Cikatro could swap it to any ship with a illicit slot, which would allow that ship to SLAM away from blocks

Well this just makes me want it more.

Would it? Does the upgrade allow a ship to SLAM if it couldn't normally?

The second paragraph would at the cost of critical damage (either by exposing an already dealt damage card or receiving a crit damage) if the ship partially executed a maneuver.

Taken as a whole, with this upgrade a ship could partially execute a maneuver while stressed, then SLAM through at the same speed as the maneuver originally dialed. It would blow off 2 shields or really dig into the hp of the ship to do so though. An extremely risky maneuver that might pay off. It could also flip direct hit twice in a row...
