I was really expecting at least one or maybe two 1st Edition Ships to be announced for 2nd Edition for each original faction. There are several ships I’d really like to be able to play in the Hyperspace format and still a LOT of 1st Ed ships to release. Long ways to go to get 2nd Ed caught up.

Edit to add..... Guess I posted too soon! I kind of expected them to do the “post credits” thing during the main announcements and though more x-Wing would be there. Didn’t expect it during the in depth talk of other games.

They just announced 3 more - the interceptor, TIE Defender and rebel A-Wing.

Wait what?!?!? I thought the news was over

That indicates to me that maybe Wave 7 is the new movie ships in Q1 to avoid the "Omega Leader" and no K2-SO pilot for the U-Wing issues.

He's not. It was stated on the second stream which they mentioned would be after the in-person Q&A portion (which was not on stream).

Any images? I’m just wondering if they’ll be unique or things that can be skipped over. Although I may be tempted anyway since I only have 2x rz1 and 3x interceptor

Time constraints? Maybe didn't have mockups prepared? Really I doubt we'll ever know.

Maybe, but I don't see Lucasfilm letting one of their major licencees get through a film release without any products related to it. Everyone else has to have new stuff for around October, why not FFG?

They didn't show pictures and didn't mention if they will be repaints. With most of the releases, seems like they've at least updated the paint if they don't give a completely new repaint, so... time will tell, I guess.

What did FFG have for the release of The Last Jedi? It wouldn't be that shocking. (EDIT: I legitimately forgot about the silencer and bomber and I'm not sure what that says about me or about those releases).

And they learned their lesson from it. There was nothing for the Solo story. Just finally getting something from the Resistance show.

Disney is extremely tight lipped on anything going on with Episode 9. FFG can't design product around just a ship design, specially if that ship design will likely change (Silencer). Let it skip a wave and you can actually do proper movie ships.

I’d make the case the only reason that Solo was delayed was the second edition versus 1.0

Its not what ffg wants to do - Disney also has some expectation to get movie pertinent product out at the time of the movie.

In principle for the game, I agree with you. I’d rather they wait. I don’t expect it though

LFL likes to debut the new ships themselves. Have there even been any official new ship unveilings yet? Wait for starwars.com to have promo art and names for these new things (not just an image of a book cover containing a goofy TrIanglE fighter. Then wait about a week for the announcement from FFG.
