In the FFG In-Flight we just learned about a few amazing things. First, a new supplement book, the Expanded Player's Guide, which will include vehicle creation rules and other stuff. Releasing at the end of the year. Secondly, the next sourcebook is going to be Keyforge with a target release if Q2 2020. Lastly, Genesys Foundry which lets us sell our original Genesys content in DriveThru RPG, launching tomorrow.
FFG In-Flight GenCon Announcements
Foundry sounds amazing!!!!
EPG should be an excellent book, being setting agnostic it sounds fun
And Keyforge is such an interesting setting, with it being so new i hope they can really go to town on filling the world with rich details.

On the floor of the InFlight Report, a question was asked about Twilight Imperium book for Genesys and they said "Its on the list".
I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the lore of KeyForge. It seems to have a sci-fi frame story, but the "every planet in the galaxy" sort of thing means it's more like a kitchen-sink setting that mixes fantasy, sci fi, etc.?
The Foundry files are already on Drive-Thru. Already have them downloaded. My big question for them would be...will any desktop publishing tool other than InDesign be supported?

Yeah, it's very kitchen sink. There are elements that tie it together, and all the individual houses have interesting twists (the giants build technology out of scrap and play a lot of music, the elves are urban thieves, the fairies in the wilderness faction are robots, and the knights all wear mech suits), but it's supposed to feel chaotic.
@Nytwyng There is a lot of stuff that is usable by other programs. I made an effort during the testing to make sure that it wasn't Adobe only.
It'll be interesting to see how this affects the growth of the system. Is there any quality control? Do FFG check to make sure what you upload on Drive-Thru RPG is not junk? Will creators that have uploaded their setting documents here take it down to put up on Drive-Thru RPG? I think it's great that they've allowed this, that the creators can receive some compensation, but things might be a little funny the next few days I think.
I have high hopes for The Foundry. We know how great the system is at inspiring world building. It is nice for the content creators that put so much effort into their projects have a chance to be rewarded for their efforts. I look forward to an even more robust community, and hopefully a new influx of players and GMs.

Oh yeah, there definitely is. I'm just talking about the book template itself. The rest of the assets are amazing. (I've been playing around with the cover template for a few hours now.
)
I already have a template for Affinity Publisher in my dropbox. Once the graphics are swapped out with the ones from this, you should have everything you need.
The GM Screen and EPG sound great. I'm pretty bummed to hear about Keyforge being next though, zero interest in that kind of setting, not sure what it offers to me as a DM, and it likely means that a Twilight Imperium book is a long ways off.

I very much agree. I feel a little embarrassed explaining the setting when teaching people to play Keyforge. I suppose this book was motivated by a desire to advance the card game more than a desire to advance Genesys.
I think it’s more about cross pollination tbh. Sell an RPG to a card gamer where they can reimagine their deck construction in a totally immersive experience.
There is a lot of potential here.
i would really like to see some of their older ips first before keyforge myself. i know some would like to see midnight reborn where i would like to see dragonstar or even dawnforge be revived over keyforge.
Hopefully the synergy from cross-promoting their currently popular IPs will allow for more exploration in later setting books.
The book sounds great, but its content (new genres, setting creation guide, vehicle and adversary creation rules) makes "Expanded Player's Guide" sound like a bit of a misnomer. That's stuff you put in an Expanded Gamemaster's Guide . I guess FFG doesn't want to limit potential sales of a book to gamemasters? Again, I like the list of content they gave, the name is just a little jarring given that content.

I don't currently have any of the Genesys books, but I would definitely be on board if they resurrected Midnight through the line. I would probably also pick up Dawnforge reborn. I have no interest in Keyforge or Twilight Imperium.
As I understand it, Keyforge is hugely successful. I'm not much interested in the setting, but I totally understand FFG wanting to capitalize on the popularity. I'm just here quietly waiting on Soviergns of Steam.
I just want an Arkham Files setting. Android and terrinoth were numbers 2 and 3 respectively for me, but The arkham setting is my favorite by a landslide.

This is probably why we won't see FFG do a Genesys Arkham setting. It is just easier not to rather than try to navigate these waters.
Excited about the announcement of the Expanded Player's Guide. That was a fun one to Playtest and the vehicle creation rules were a blast to play around with.

Any spoilers about new spells and specialisation trees in EPG? How they work or what can we expect 🤔
Edited by ArmoksUnfortunately, I cannot say anything beyond what has already been announced.
