2:00 PM Saturday: Upcoming Releases Seminar
If you are anxiously awaiting each new release of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and are just dying to find out what’s coming out next, sit in on this seminar for news and previews of our upcoming release schedule.

This happened today at the Malleus Maleficarum. Was anybody there or do we have to wait until Monday for details? ;]

Ok, it's almost after the event so can anyone share with us some news about upcomming products for WFRP?

Anyone?! Anything? What happened at the event for those of us not near sacred ground! haha. No, seriously...what's coming.

Maybe there are so awesome products coming in the near future, that the participants had to celebrate, and are still too drunk to reply. Or FFG holds them as hostages.

Well I would assume FFG is going to announce them today, so it shouldn't be more than a few hours wait . . .

Unless they're going to be really mean sad.gif

Still nothing new? llorando.gif

The party tension meter is rising! Take a stress token!

Plus a fatigue token for repeatedly pressing "F5".

Here we go!

I'm guessing it's only a portion of what was shown though? Guess we'll just have to keep waiting.

Another stupid adventure kit? Seriously? What a waste of time. The game needs so much actual meat and they give us more "fluff".

Another campaign, probably being released right when my group would finish the Gathering Storm? Sign me up!!

The actual good news is that obviously we can now expect FFG to put out two supplements close to each other, hopefully every three months. Great stuff!!

I couldn't disagree more, if you look at 3e alone it's fluff that is needed. The fluff parts in the core set is really weak. Not counting the GM advice stuff (which is not really fluff as I define it), the description of the world could probably be fitted into 4 pages.

And calling another adventure kit a "waste of time"? Come on, just because you personally might not need it, a lot of people will be very pleased with this. I know my GM and group will be (he just doesn't have the time to prepare his own campaign, and neither do the rest of us).

Have to agree. Scenarios are the life-blood of any RPG - they are not going to survive without supplying these. I know that a lot of publishers knew that they sold more of a supplement than of a scenario (after all, only the GM will buy a scenario), but without games to actually play everything else becomes defunct.

Obviously an experienced GM with plenty of time to prepare and write has little need of scenario packs. But they are in a minority. I used to belong to that category, but not any more. The publisher has to cater to the larger market as a priority.

Normally I am not that fond of official senarios, often they feel clunky and unwieldy because they have to be usful to a wide audience, that normally results in me having to spend more time converting it to be useful than I would have spent creating content designed for my group. That said, "Storm" is great, very fast and easy to mod, also pregenerated campaigns give you locations, trackers and standup that you can use for your own homebrew stuff which makes them execellent and a box like this is ideal for delivering that content.

Myself, I'm looking forward to the information on Ubersreik as my players will be traveling there to start An Eye for an Eye next session. This sounds like it will be a help in expanding the area.

The Edge Of Night looks sweet, it's looking really cool. I never thought I will see a second adventure so soon but it's ok with me.

But I hope that it's not the end for this year - I would love to see some more supplemtns that cover the world now olny adventures. I'm hoping for a big one with The Winds Of Magic - I hope that whey will cover all Magic Careers not olny for Empire Mages but also for Greenskin, Beastman and Chaos. Also High Elves careers woukld be great to see.

So I'm hoping that in the near future we will see some more good Supplements like the ones from 2nd edition about Empire, Bretonia or Skaven.

That's great an all... but it would be nice to hear something official about the two expansions that I'm assuming are eventually coming: something for priests and divine magic, and something for more intermediate and advanced non-magic careers.

This.

And halflings! happy.gif

Im actually quite happy with the release of another adventure, but what I really really really would like to see, is a beastiary.

And some more carrers and mid-level content would be nice.

As long the game offers two kinds of pointy eared weirdos there is a consequent need for halflings as counterbalance. cool.gif

I, for one, have never, ever in my life, felt the urge to play a halfling. However, I can except that other people like them, so... I hope you get what you want. On the other hand, what do you really need for playable halflings? You need a starting wound threshold modifier, you need to know what their racial bonuses are (including which two characteristics they get a bonus in, if they were to be along the same lines as the other non-humans) and you'd need a list of what pre-existing careers they can join. None of that seems particularly difficult to house-rule, though I can appreciate wanting official rules on it. I suppose you'd also want at least a couple halfling specific careers. At any rate, given the apparently pretty high demand for playable halflings, this doesn't seem like something that would be difficult to stick into, say, the presumed expansion with more mid-high rank career options and such. Or possibly an expansion with even yet more playable races... though knowing little about the world of Warhammer I'm not sure if there really are any more.

Some creation rules (stat bonuses, etc.) a list of eligible careers and a Pie Salesman career with special pie related actions! gran_risa.gif

I'm kidding, I'm kidding - but seriously unless they want to make specific Halfling careers then all it takes is a sheet with creation rules, race bonuses and eligible careers and they are ready.

So maybe they could stick that in the forthcoming Adventurers Toolkit if nothing else.

Personally I'm looking forward to the Magic box and the new campaign as well as more careers (with at least a few more advanced ones).

there are tons of more races: dragonborn, tieflings, gnomes, drow...oh, wait...
