By peg socket I mean the clear plastic bit that the peg slots in to on the ship. Is there a better name for it? Anyway, one of the ones on my CR90 has broken. Anyone know where I can get replacements? Ideally before the huge ship upgrade kits come out.
Replacement peg sockets?
Clip off the bottom of a large base peg. Drill out the location. Glue it in. Make sure it's straight.

Oh yeah - it's just the bottom of a peg isn't it? Didn't think of that! That's certainly an option if I can't get a proper replacement.
You think drilling is necessary? I think a flat joint with superglue would be strong enough.
Yes drilling is necessary. Superglue will break pretty quickly.
OK, I'll need a larger drill bit then! Thanks
Epoxy will work if you don't want to drill. When modding my ships' pegs with magnets I prefer epoxy. It doesn't dry as quickly as super glue so you will have to baby it for a bit while it cures but it does fill gaps and will be more durable than superglue in the long run.

Seconded. Epoxy is a lot better than Superglue.

Edit (or not edit as my previous post hadn't gone through): or epoxy. Thanks guys!

Contact FFG support and see if they will send you a new one. They are really great with their service so I would be surprised if they didn’t help.

Don't forget to let us know what replacement part they send!
a, peg
or
b, new CR90
Last time I contacted FFG they sent a new ship... curious how they handle huge ship defects

If you can get it flat, another option is to pin the joint. Ask if anyone at your FLGS has a pin vise - a tiny hand drill - you can borrow. Drill a little bit into each side of the join, clip off a section of paperclip, and glue it inside the hole when you glue it together.
It's what I do anytime something like that breaks.

I have one of those tiny hand drills already (two in fact, not sure why - a Citadel one and a little wooden one) so that's an option
I made a 3d printable replacement receiver, if you or a friend has a 3d printer.
