Rise of Skywalker other TIE Variants
Just to list the contents of the post for posterity:
- TIE Dagger
- Kylo's TIE Fighter (as seen in the trailer)
- Sith TIE Fighter (similar to TIE Dagger, colored red)
- Special Forces TIE Fighter (TIE/sf?)
- TIE Whisper Fighter (similar to the one above, but with a larger, bulkier cockpit like Kylo's)
No sign of the FO TIE Bomber. 😕

I was wondering about that, and digging for LEGO releases.
If it ends up being Kylo in the Tie that Rey flips over, its just to stupid. If its some no name, not knowing what Rey can do, sure what ever, cool visuals over story. But if its Kylo, he is just to **** stupid.

lmao
I hope to see the trailer TIE in game, even if it's barely different visually than the Silencer or the tv show Interceptor.
I'm really not fond of the Dagger so it's disappointing to hear the Sith TIE is similar (though maybe it will offset it just enough).
I'm intrigued by the Special Forces TIE (even though we already have that?) and the Whisper.
Are we going to go from not enough First Order ships to too many? Or are some of these going to end up as variants? Obviously we don't have the answer to that yet, but it's something that these revelations make me wonder.
Edited by JokubasI'm down with the First Order getting a bucketload of new TIE variants.
My personal (and entirely unsupported by evidence!) theory is that the TIE Dagger isn't a First Order fighter at all: the hull colour (and the red edging on the wings) are more reminiscent of 'proper' Imperial designs. Perhaps they belong to a non-First Order Imperial Remnant group? Likewise, if there is a Sith Trooper 'variant' of the Dagger, it could imply that they too are opposed to the First Order (Kylo Ren is not a Sith, after all).

A training montage would indeed been even more silly and dumb, yes.

After all, its JJ who is directing. So anything is possibel, My bet is that the knights of ren use tie daggers. I hope that the Tie Whisper will be that perfect combo of a Tie interceptor and Tie sf, A tie sf, but with Boost !! GIVE MEEEE!!! And ffs, give it a I6, and call it fel,

I reckon the Whisper would be what we saw in the trailer, due to the Silencer-style wings; the name would also make sense.
I'd hope for it being a combo of the Silencer and the /sf; mobile arc which can enhance the main arc or do something when facing backwards , dial which wants to go fast (perhaps similar to the N-1 in having no blue speed-1s). Would need to see the thing in action before determining appropriate actions, but certainly a boost (maybe focus>white rotate, lock>white rotate, barrel roll, boost? Makes it a hybrid of the /sf and the Silencer while requiring trade-offs).

Considering the Sith Code, he is more Sith then any other in the Saga. ;-)
