Emperor and other cannon figures

By Critical Missfits, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Roleplaying Game

I know that 5E went back in time to around 1120 IC. I'm not seeing any cannon figures mentioned in either the core rulebook or the Emerald Empire guide.

My questions are.....

Who is the emperor currently?

Who is the Emerald Magistrate currently?

Who is the Jade Magistrate currently?

Are these in one of the books and I'm just not seeing it? I have no problem making up these figures but if I don't need to....

A lot of it is mentioned in the various short stories elsewhere on the site and discussed in the L5R LCG Lore forum.

In particular, this thread may help you with people:

The LCG fiction covers a lot of that. By currently... if you mean the moment the core rule book starts,

the emperor is Hantei XXXVIII . This doesn't last. no spoilers. he has two sons, Daisetsu and Sotori

The Emerald Champion is Doji Satsume , who has just died.

There is not currently a Jade Champion i believe.

There is no Jade Champion, correct. The office exists, but has sat empty for several centuries (in a large part, because the Phoenix did not see the need for this office and, more pragmatically, didn't want someone from another clan having so much sway over Imperial policies around mystical goings-on). There are, accordingly, no Jade Magistrates. The duties of the JMs have been subsumed into those of the Emerald Magistrates, backed up (more or less officially) by groups like the Asako Inquisitors, the Kuni Witchhunters and the Scorpion Kuroiban (Black Watch).
