Alas, doesn't define or address cocked dice.

Care to risk a penalty by arguing that when the judge is called?
@ThinkingB You've got some ammo to deal with those miscreants now, so start taking it up with your local judges. Page twelve of the Floor Rules.
"3.6 Slow Play – Normal Warning
Even at Casual events, players are expected to play at a pace that will not set their opponent at a
disadvantage because of the time limit. Slow play is an issue that arises when a player takes more
time than necessary to perform one or more game actions. There can be a very fine line between
slow play, which is unintentional, and stalling, which is a form of cheating. Players should
openly communicate if they believe their opponent is playing too slowly—oftentimes a simple “I
need you to play more quickly” from the Judge is all that is needed to remedy the situation.
If a player continues to play slowly even after being asked to speed up, then the Judge should
issue a Normal Warning. Repeated offenses, even after receiving warnings, can also warrant a
Game Loss if the Judge thinks it is appropriate.
If a Judge believes that a player is intentionally stalling to take advantage of the time limit, then
this is a form of cheating and should be dealt with as such."

It's incontrovertible that the words "die" and "dice" don't appear anywhere in the document.
Cocked dice are a kind of thing that no doubt can be handled by the players (I certainly wouldn't expect folks to call a judge on it... just a waste of time), but it'd still be preferable for there to be a clear rule.
TL:DR, The judge can come over and end your match or even your tournament if you are causing a scene that interrupts the entire tournament.
Glad to see that they finally have official rules for this, and that situations demanding disqualification probably won't be met with a slap on the wrist.
Glad to see repeated warnings ramp up in penalty points. If you have to be told on more than 3 occasions at an event by a judge to play faster, then that's a DQ (7 penalty points). Hopefully players will take slow play a lot more seriously now.

It's an honor to be called out in a completely new thread haha. Looks like some good tools for judges at least; rather than nothing. I'm eager to see how often people start calling out slow play now that judges have some teeth to deal with the situation.
is it as I feared?
IS THE ENTIRE FLOOR LAVA!?!?!

Yes. You will now be required to hop from table to table at events.

Does hopping to game 4 make you a Quadjumper?

Perhaps? Just don’t be a gunrunner since that’s probably in the floor rules somewhere.

Yeah only a Scyk person would do that at an event anyway. That kind of thing would cause Havoc.

It is!
Rule 3.7 (Agressive Behavior), point E: if "a person brings a weapon to the event or threatens to bring one," it is grounds for disqualification.

No, but I believe people will Upsi ante on the puns.

Or a Hwk.
I doubt anyone would be that much of an Aggressor anyway. They'd face a Torrent of backlash, and most people really don't want to force a judge into Punishing One of the players in any event.

This is a general, all games document. Documents for specific games are incoming, per FFG OP’s social media posts. Its possible dice-related rules will appear in the X-wing specific document.

Hopefully we get an FAQ for Cova Nell and R4 too.

The biggest problem with the term slow play is that players consider simply not moving to make attacks slow play . You still have matches where players are putting down dials and moving models but they are staying on their side of the table. There isn't a rule that says you better be rolling dice every three turns or a penalty. It just says you can't take several minuets to place dials and another 5 to flip a single dial.

What they outlined in a different thread is a bit different than what you present.

Ya, I was kinda enjoying the shift to pun posts.

Link to thread?
No I get it if someone is like taking 5 minuetes to decide which I3 dial to reveal first then yeah that is taking too long. But if someone counted the MOV and realize they just need to not get shot at anymore and move away from combat till the time runs out that is perfectly legal. But on other threads that has been (rather presumptuously) called out as slow play .
So far it seems like the ruling is against the former and permits the latter.
