Im a new and increasingly frustrated player. It seems like every ship I try to get is out of stock, not just locally, but everywhere.

Ive been trying to build a fleet but ive been frustrated by just how many ships appear to be completely out of circulation. From what I can see, the ISD and Gladiator are completely out of stock and not listed as reprinted. Searching for an afternoon, the cheapest ISD I can find is over $65. I think I got the last Chimera on the east coast, though that at least appears to be getting another shipment. And while I got an Arquitens, I wanted to supplement the fact that I couldnt get the other 3 ships I wanted by getting a second. Now just 2 weeks later its vanished from everywhere.

After a vacation, ive checked no fewer than 8 stores in 3 states on top of amazon and miniaturemarket

Is it common for FFG to have such a hard time stocking the game? Starting to get a bit disenchanted with the whole thing with something like half my options cut off. Anyone else having similar problems?

It is, sadly, really common for FFG to only print in low numbers. There was always something that was not on stock. This must be a company rule. No overprint and overstock 😉 .
it might be, that they have only limited slots for the printers or that they want to keep the supply low. Maybe it is as well a priority reason.

The best is to check a few stores. I have 3 shops where i buy my stuff. And yes, even there are some packs total sold out (in all 3).
Currently there is not listed what is being printed. For some time the "at the printer" is not there anymore. It might be, that these missing ships are already on the printer.

I can understand a company not overstocking for a niche game like this, but just regular stocking is a basic function of a company trying to make money. With all the trouble I'm having, I'm wondering how many others see that stuff isn't stocked and just never get into the game

I have no fewer than 5 game stores within a half hour drive. None of them have anything I mentioned. And like I said, I took a road trip to see my sister and tried more stores in 2 states along the way with no luck

They are OOS on the FFG store, which is generally a trigger for reprints- it’s just time, and unfortunately an unknown quantity of it.

This is entirely depressing. As an a more seasoned player I can definitely confirm FFG's supply issues. Armada seems to be suffering the heavy brunt of it these last couple years. (The essential squadron packs took close to a year (? I think) to reprint. They were selling from $80-$120 on ebay.

I would wholeheartedly advise being patient though. Armada is well worth the wait.

Games Plus in Mount Prospect Illinois is where I play. As of last week, they had most things in stock (one exception was Rogues/Villains which I will pick up when they restock). Give them a call - it will be at list but I think they’ll ship.

I have no doubt I'm in it for the long haul. I've managed to sink $150 into what Is available and I have some friends that are really into it, so I have a reliable group to play with. It's just frustrating to not have options. They are rebel players with multiples of every ship. I'm trying to go empire but I can't find anything but the very basics.

I came in around january of last year, and I blame the SSD.

Yeah, I got in last summer. No Rebel/Empire I fighters to be found at that time except for a King's ransom. I finally broke down and actually ordered some from Italy - as while they were at list and there was shipping (and the cards were all in Italian LOL), it was still a lot cheaper than buying off eBay.

I've played a little over 2.5 years now and from what I've seen they reprint a think once a year at a semi regular time, squad 1's usually getting reprinted around feb/march each year for example. That's the only one I've noticed that pattern happening (3 years in a row) but I would bet its the same with the other items.

I know it's frustrating, FFG is an incredibly weird company made even more strange after asmodee took them over. The game is great though, stick with it and try to pick up stuff as you can. Mini mart is a great place, sadly my main source (thewarstore) has gone out(Neil retired) but there are still some places selling so keep an eye out.

Well, I've already been to 5 stores in baltimore/Annapolis Maryland, 1 more in York PA, another in Harrisburg PA, another in Wilkes Barre PA, another in Syracuse NY. There isn't much east coast left. Lol

Have you looked at collections on ebay? I considered buying a large collection on there a couple of times when I was just getting started, as there were some good savings by buying in bulk.

I dont know how close to Bennington VT you are, but the owner of the Gamers Grotto in Bennington will attempt to order as best as he can.

Early this year, i wrote the issues we where having in AUS.

The good news is that we are slowly getting stock in but some stuff is still hard to find as well.

My best advise if your trying to test out different fleets, see if your community has ships to borrow. For tournaments we post on the event page if people needs ship, squadrons or cards and most of the time someone replies. A lot of stuff, we proxy for casual games. One of the guys has even 3D printed a SDD and we have been testing the ship for last 3 months.

Want truly sold out packs? Walmart.com - I hate giving away my secrets but most people forget Walmart exists on the internet, I bought a Chimaera there last week and that thing has been sold out since the 70s.

Amazon was the first place I looked online. Just as sold out as everyone else.

I personally don't shop Walmart... Ever. Personal preference. My friend pointed out that they have them. But their price is higher than anywhere else, and by the time I used a coupon, ebay ended up as basically the same price. So I caved and overpaid

I’ve been trying to find the gladiator class star destroyer. It seems to have been out for a while. I can find it on eBay for like 80 bucks but I’m not paying any bucks for something that’s maybe worth $30-$45. Hopefully, they start printing it again soon.

Update!! I went onto Amazon and checked Amazon De. (German) I found 6 gladiators on there, I bought one. Granted it is in Italian but if that does not bother you, you are good to go! Also price with shipping is about 35 dollars to the US.

This is part of the problem though, a good portion of sellers will be people leaving the game or thinning fleets yes... But, also people who when items are in stock will buy as many copies as they can, horde them and sell on for a profit and repeat.

Which is why it would help FFG to keep it more regular, for new players and existing ones.

I’ve been able to find everything I want with the exception of the Gladiator and MC30. Those seem to perpetually slip through my grasp!
