Probably we see next expansion at christmas. what do you hope to get and what do you think to get realistic ?
1. The City
2. The Forrest
3. Card Set
i hope to get the dungeon, but i fear we get just another card set.

ups sorry the forrest i mean,
It will probably a small expansion.
I think we get a Light/Dark Fate expansion.
The only small expansion we don't have yet, is the Dragon expansion .
I've got my fingers crossed for a fate based expansion this fall. Dragons are cool, but they can wait.
Then maybe a Timescape corner board in 2011.
Even if i look forward to a Dragon expansion, i think it will be one of the last expansions for talisman revised.
The first big expansion in 2011 will probably be the City expansion.
FFG has made the dungeon already, and in the third edition version, the mountains was included in the dungeon expansion box.
I also keep my fingers crossed for a Light/Dark fate expansion at the end of this year.
I look forward to how it will work in the game.

Dark fate should add interaction and much danger!
They say dark fate will be harder to aquire. I'm guessing starting fate and replenished fate will be light, while gained fate will be optionally light or dark. Just a guess.

Yeah, they once talk about the enchantress and dark fate.
So i hope that it add some dangerous mechanics to the game!
But FFG can also add this mechanic to adventure cards..
Pay a dark fate token to send the enemie to a character of your choice

No I disagree, the "Dragon expansion" in second was small (from what I could see) and was the swan song of 2nd edition, but 3rd edition "Dragon Tower" was big and it was too the last expansion for 3rd.
So based on this, the Dragon expansion from FFG should be huge and possibly the last expansion for 4th er.
Then there will be the 5th edition.......
Cheers.

I agree, and that;s what i mean..
The Dragon expansion and Dragon Tower will probably be the last expansions for 4th revised..
the only expansions we don;t have yet is":
Big: city
Big: forest
Big: Dragon Tower
Small: dragon expansion
Big: Timescape: i don't want it;..
Yeah, probably a small one.
Would be nice with one to balance/tie-together all the former expansions.
Focus on dungeon-cards that might take you to the highlands etc.
More gold coins and alignment-cards.
Rules that are written to include all expansions with erratas and such.
And ofcourse some nifty characters. Could be interesting with something like the reaper again, a NPC that moves around. A ferryman on the storm river?
Or perhaps some kind of super-hunter that always stalks the mightiest character, something to turn the tables for the leading player.
AND four "real" 3D Talismans to represent the Talismans in the game (Talisman) =D
The next expansion will be small with cards and I hope some new characters.
Then we will see a big expansion with the board mazbe Forest or City but one thing bothers me - the bvig expansions all look the same. We have a board, a big boss at the end, some new cards, new characters and that's it. It would be good to see some more advanced expansions with new rules. Just like it was with the earlier editions - every board had new rules and really was different.

We have receive a lot of low strength/craft enemies with the Frostmarch expansion
I hope that the next expansion will contain more powerful enemies.
I am still waiting for a neutral alignment card and a place where you can change to neutral.
It would be nice if we get more events for the dungeon region, because it's crawling with enemies there..

I'm indifferent towards three dimensiional Talismans, but I'd like to see new cards for the four card Talisman deck. Talismans wich imbue the owner with abilities, and/or penalise them with drawbacks. Even really simple stuff - four new Talismans each either adding or subtracting a craft or strength point.
If this puts too many Talismans into the game, they can replace the standard deck instead of adding to it. Or have some Talisman pieces, each of which counts as half a Talisman.

I'd like to see this too, but not till later down the road when we have more regions to interconnect.
I would very much preffered Dragons (or Dragon Tower) to be big expansion. With FFG guys' ingenuity the dragon tower could become spectacular
And I hope the FFG won't stop at four/five big expansions. Someone mentioned Timescape corner board but I don't think we'll see it in this form. It would break the symetry of the game (visually speaking). I always loved timescape but it wouldn't fit the pure fantasy setting very well. Maybe after all the obvious expansions we'll get "legacy" expansion like Timescape.
Right now my money is on the "City" and then "Forrest" with small expansions inbetween which will bring us something we've never seen before. And I hope for a huge Dragon Tower with no less then 25 spaces
I'd like to see the 'Forest' expansion as the next large one, rather than the 'City'. And I'd like to see it at Christmas, with another small expansion out in the Autumn, and I'm liking the sound of the whole Dark Fate stuff.
'City' needs a total rethink, I thought it was lousy in 3rd Edition.
I've played all editions of Talisman since 1st Edition, and all expansions in the past, and frankly 'Timescape' was rubbish, let it die in peace.
Eld.
I also wouldn't mind a replacement for the horrible plastic Craft/Strength/Life tokens as well, they're awful.

Which tokens do you mean?
I am happy with the tokens from the Talisman Revised edition. They are the same as the third edition tokens.
But the tokens from black industries are awful
Well, Timescape and the City expansion have both to be rethink IMO.
FFG still as at least a year to think about revamping the City and two years for Timescape, so I feel these will be spectacular when they come out
Cheers

If the Forest expansion will be the next one, then FFG has 2 years to think about the City
And after 3 years, we have a dragon Tower..
after 4 years.... Timescape...
I hope that we get a handful of raider cards in the next expansion.
They could combine them with the Light/Dark fate tokens plus they can add retro cards too !
I also like to see some wilderniss..

You may be right but I do hope the city is next as we really need incentive and places to spend gold and 2 years is too long and we'll get more golds in Highland and Forest and more in the 2 small expansions
. We need the city soon or some other mechanics to spend gold.
I miss the real raider too, the broken helmet/sword/shield....ect, conscription trip wire, taxation, magic arrow, magic mushroom, heretic priest and the Chainsaw Warrior
.
Wildeness and forest will probably be the same/combined.
Cheers

I agree that the City should be the next one.
But the next expansion will be a small expansion, so they can include a handful of raiders in it.
The next big expansion should be the City expansion indeed.
This adds some new options to the game, where you can spend some gold.
I miss the broken weapons too, but i think we can do nothing about it, unless FFG adds swords that can be broken to switch it with the normal purchase swords.
Yeah oke, wildenis and forest can be combinend, but it don't hurt to add some wildernis to the main game..
I hope that those forest retro cards will also make their return.
Sorry in advance for a little off-topic

If you don't like original counters I may have an alternative for you. I'm using standard roleplaying dice as a counters: red D12 for Strength, blue D8 for Craft and green D6 for Lives. It works pretty well as long as you don't play with a hyper kids or on the thick carpet ( both of which are sadly true for me
).
i think Forrest would be better as next big expansion then city, because it closes the themes of crawling the path to the boss, get some reward and jump back somewhere on the mainboard. the city has total different content, and therefore it would be better to finish the old content with forrest first. new aspects from the city could then work in dungeon , highland and forrest in the same way.
otherwiese, if city would come before forrest, the forrest would take elements from the city and would unbalance the corners.
the forrest probably shows a boss with strenght /craft 10. the mapboard was slightly diferent then dungeon and highland in 3rd edition. the path was up and down the board like a serpentine from one end to the other, not three levels.
