GenCon Team Battle rules

By DragonReborn, in Organized Play

Hey I've signed up for the Team Battle on Sunday at Gencon but can't find any rules other than what's in the description of 600 points and no sharing of uniques. A lot of events have an email listed for where to send questions beforehand, but not here. Maybe if someone knows who'll be TO they could answer some of these questions about the format.

Does anyone know if there even are team battle rules in general? Me and my partner want to build our armies now but don't have any idea how it will play.

Do we still use the battlefield condition cards like normal? How do we choose command cards and what units get ordered? Do we each get to play one? What about effects specifying friendly units?

There are rules at the end of the main rule book, just before the index.

Basically, your allied team counts as friendly units for all purposes.

Each team must have a commander. Each round, all players choose a command card to play, which can have some interesting interactions.

The TO is Brendon Franz. He recently posted on the Legion Facebook that all product released at Gen Con will be legal for the team game. This will definitely include rebel veterans and Tauntauns, and might include such things as Shoretroopers and dewbacks, but nobody knows yet.

Awesome, thanks!

Note that the rules of the team event are not exactly the same as those in the reference booklet.

I hope to see you there, I’m also playing this tournament!
